There is that classic question adults love to ask young people but teenagers absolutely hate: So, what do you want to do when you grow up? Who knows? That is the usual answer. But me? I will become a doctor or a cleaning lady!

You are finishing Natural Sciences at Collège Montmorency, and it is time to apply to universities. However, what do you want to do with your life?

Choice 1 : Become a cleaning lady.

Choice 2 : Apply to McGill University

Congradulations ! You have been accepted in medical school at McGill university.

Great news! You have been offered an amazing opportunity. An internship at the busiest hospital in Montreal. You will have the opportunity to shadow and learn from experienced doctors.

Choice 1 : Accept the internship, and attend McGill University.

Choice 2 : Refuse the internship, and focus mainly on school.

Choice 3 : I plan to take a gap year to focus on the internship, and afterwards, I intend to pursue my studies at McGill University.

First day as an intern! Yay!

I have to be at the hospital at 3:00pm. However, my class is supposed to end at 5:30pm.

Choice 1 : Skip class

Choice 2 : Arrive late at work.

Leaving early.

As you tried to sneak out, Mr. Grumpy Pants shouted, "Go! However, don't you ever dare try to step foot in my class ever again."

Choice 1 : START AGAIN: Getting kicked out of that class is a major set back. This expulsion interferes with your academic pathway.

You arrived late!

You arrived at the hospital two hours late!! As you were heading to start following the doctor around.....

Choice 1 : START AGAIN: The doctor turned around and said: "If arriving late does not bother you. However, it disturbs me! Do not bother showing your face here again! You are done."

Increase my workload !!

Since I did not accept the internship, I should take on a bigger workload!

Choice 1 : Join committees

Choice 2 : Add more classes

Exam week!!

You got your results back! You failed your exams the teachers were personally offended by my responses. Having many classes and being a member of different committees was way too much work. You were kicked out from all your committees and classes.

Choice 1 : START AGAIN: You failed your final exams. In other words, you need to repeat the whole semester again!

You could not keep up with my workload!

Unfortunately, adding a bigger workload was not the best idea. I had to neglect some classes to keep up with my more demanding courses. However, the work I neglected for weeks made it impossible to catch up for the exams.

Choice 1 : START AGAIN: You failed the classes you added!

Week 3 as an intern!

You are suddenly left alone with a patient who had surgery and needs to get stitches removed from a very serious wound. The doctor got called away for something urgent and said he would be back in about 20 minutes. Before leaving, he told you to stay with the patient and keep them company.

Choice 1 : Leave to get some fresh air (you have been working for the past 6 hours)

Choice 2 : You want to do the doctor a favor, so you feel like you should step in and help the patient.

What do I do?

As you were heading out, a brilliant idea popped into your head! I could take the patient outside.

Choice 1 : Take the patient with you!

Choice 2 : Leave him behind.

Transporting a patient.

Should you inform a staff member that you are leaving with a patient?

Choice 1 : Yes! inform a coworker.

Choice 2 : No! Just leave with the patient.

You are in trouble!!

You told the head nurse you wanted to take the patient outside. She stared at you and said, " you are trying to transport a vulnerable patient who had major surgery just a week ago. He is in critical condition! Exposing him to the outside right now could be very dangerous his wounds are not completely healed yet."

Choice 1 : START AGAIN: The nurse reported this situation to your superviser, and you were fired!

OH NO!

As you were heading out, the doctor saw you leaving with his patient! He ran up to you and said, " Are trying to bring him outside? This could lead my patient to be exposed to germs! You ignored my orders."

Choice 1 : START AGAIN: You got fired!

Look after the patient!

What can you do to help the patient?

Choice 1 : Proceed to take out his stitches.

Choice 2 : Give him painkillers.

Procedure.

I can do this procedure! I saw the doctor do it I think once or twice before......

Choice 1 : Ask help from another intern!

Choice 2 : Use your memory!

Uncomfortable.

After you asked for guidance from your coworker. He replied, " I am certain we cannot remove stitches as interns we are not qualified for this specification only nurses and doctors are qualified to do this process."

Choice 1 : START AGAIN: He informed your superviser about this situation. He stated, that you made him feel uncomfortable, and had put the patient in a dangerous situation.

You ended up hurting the patient.

He noticed you were having trouble remembering what to do. He got scared and pressed the help button on the side of his wheelchair.

Choice 1 : START AGAIN: A nurse went to check on the patient and saw you trying to remove the stitches. She immediately told you to stop and informed your boss about what you were doing! You got fired!

Ow! I need something for the pain!

You knew you were not supposed to give out medicine. However, the patient was in so much pain!

Choice 1 : Bring the bottle closer to the patient. You are not giving it to him.

Choice 2 : Give him some medicine to relieve his pain.

TOUCH NOTHING!

You took out a bottle of laxative thinking it was painkillers. You proceeded to put the bottle next to his bed where the patient can easily grab the bottle. Suddenly! The nurse came into room and saw you staring at the patient trying to reach for the bottle. The nurse snatched it away! The patient informed the nurse that you had brought these pills next to him! The nurse informed you that giving unauthorized medication is breaking protocol.

Regret!

You have loved cleaning, scraping, and vacuuming! However, you always wondered what your future would have looked if you went to McGill. The regret of your choices has hunted you for years! Your regrets made you miserable.

Choice 1 : START AGAIN: You are not happy with your life choices!

Many choices of medication!

You went to open the medicine cabinet. However, you had no idea what to give him. You came up with the brilliant idea to mix it up! You took a plastic cup chose 10 bottles and took one of each! One of these pills should work he can try them out!

Choice 1 : START AGAIN: As you were heading out. A doctor noticed all the bottles mixed up in the medicine cabinet. He turned to ask you if you knew anything about this. However, he saw you holding your plastic cup filled with pills. He reported you for breaking and interring the medicine cabinet. You have lost your internship!
