I choose a future College.

I just recently finished high school, and I now have to decide where to go to college. I have two college choices. Go to Dawson College in the program of Social Science Law, Society, and justice. Dawson is an English cegep it will help me improve my English, I would meet a lot of new people because it is in Montreal, but it will take me almost one hour to go there. Do I really want to travel that much every day? I could also go to Montmorency College in the program of Social Science Society, Culture, and Justice. The cegep is in Laval, and it's like a 20 minutes bus ride from my house. It is a French cegep, so it will be easier to learn for me because I am more comfortable in French then English.

Choice 1 : Go to Dawson College.

Choice 2 : Go to Montmorency College.

I finally decided to go to Dawson College as a Laval girl I will be more in Montreal and I will visit new places. I am very excited about this new chapter of my life, but I now have to decide. Do I want to enjoy life with the new friends I made at Dawson, go out and party every day or do I want to concentrate in my studies to have a really good cote R and try to get in Law at McGill University?

Choice 1 : Focus on my studies to have a good cote R.

Choice 2 : Party and go out everyday in Montreal.

Go to Montmorency College.

I finally decided to go to Montmorency College. Now I have to decide if I want to play soccer with the Nomades, but it will take most of my time outside of school and I wont be able to work a lot or if I want to have the time to work more and make money to travel to Europe.

Choice 1 : Play soccer with the Nomades.

Choice 2 : Work more and make money to travel.

Focus on my studies to have a good cote R.

I decided to really focus on my studies, my goal is to be accepted into law school at McGill University. To be accepted I need to have a cote R of at least 32, so I spent my two years at Dawson studying and working really hard to have excellent grades. It is now time to apply at universities I have a cote R of exactly 32, so I hope it will be enough for this year. I will start by applying into law school at McGill University, but my API told me that I should also apply in law at the University of Montreal has a second option if I don't get into McGill. We'll see if I get in!

Party and go out every day in Montreal.

I decided to party and go out every day. I still went to school, but I wasn't focused enough.My time management was really bad, and I put aside a lot of my homework, or they were cursory. I thought that doing the bare minimum and not being so thoughtful with my homework was going to be enough. I quickly realized it wasn't, and it was maddening seeing the bad results and the bad grades. Now do I continue in the same path and don't focus in school even though I know the results of it, or do I start studying and focusing more?

Choice 1 : I decide to study and focus more on school.

Choice 2 : I continue with the same path and don't focus in school.

Play soccer with the Nomades.

I decided to play soccer with the team of my College. It was really fun we won most of our games, and we even went to the finals. Sadly, during the finals a girl from the opposing team bump into me really hard I fell and tore my ACL. I needed surgery it took me 2 months to have it, so I was in crutches all that time and after the surgery couldn't bend my knee, so I had to be in a wheelchair for a while. I started rehabilitation for my knee because I wanted to be able to play soccer again, but it was really hard my knee still hurt. After more than a year of trying to play again I stopped trying and decided to not play soccer again.

Choice 1 : Go to Montmorency College.

Work more and make money to travel.

I had six classes in the CEGEP and I worked 20 hours a week as a swimming instructor, I had a really good salary, and I was able to save up a lot of money. I even received a premium wage because I did a lot of filling in. My boss asked me if I wanted to do an internship to become an aqua fitness instructor, she told me that I would receive a wage from it. Now I have to choose what to do. Do I do the internship or do I just stay a swimming instructor?

Choice 1 : I said yes to become an aqua fitness instructor.

Choice 2 : I said no to become an aqua fitness instructor.

I got in law at McGill University!

Yes! I finally got accepted in the Law program at McGill University! Now I have to study really hard and focus for the next three years to pass the bar exam and become a real lawyer. Finally, I am not sure if I like the program I am wondering if I should change to the Psychology program or continue and see If I like it more when I will be more advanced in it.

I didn't get in law at McGill University.

Sadly, I didn't get in law at McGill University, but I got in the Law program at the University of Montreal. I still worked really hard and passed my bar exam.

I decide to study and focus more on school.

I finally decided to change my actions and study more if I focus enough maybe that I'll be able to enter into the Law program at McGill University.

Choice 1 : Focus on my studies to have a good cote R.

I continue with the same path and don't focus in school.

I decided to continue partying, but it wasn't the right choice and my mother had warned me. She told me: if I were you, I would focus more on school instead of going out and party every day. I failed most of my classes and I will have to redo them if I want to be able to go to university.

Travel in Europe.

I decided to travel in Europe. I will backpack in Europe for over a month I will start in Portugal and will go all the way to Greece.

Volunteer abroad.

I decided to go volunteer abroad in a little village in Ghana where they rescue children from modern slavery. Most of the children are rescued from the Lake Volta where they are forced to work on boats for over 12 hours a day. My purpose there was to help those children become normal kids again. I played with them, listened to everything they had to tell me and created real relationships with some of the children. I learned in-depth how to talk with kids like that who had been abuse for most of their short life. It really was an invaluable experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Stay in the Law program at McGill.

I decided to stay in the Law program at McGill. I worked really hard for three years, and I finally passed the bar exam! I am now officially a lawyer. I now have two options a firm offered me an internship where I will be following a family lawyer and will receive a wage from it and another firm offered me a position already as a commercial lawyer, and I will start with a good pay.

Choice 1 : Accept the internship at the law firm.

Choice 2 : Accept the job position at the law firm.

Change to the Psychology program at McGill.

I decided to change to the Psychology program, but I didn't really liked it. I think it's better if I just go back to the Law program.

I say yes to become an aqua fitness instructor.

I said yes to become an aqua fitness instructor. I started my on-the-job training at the pool. As a trainee, I had to watch the other instructor give her classes and take notes. She showed me how to plan an aqua fitness and also taught me some exercises. That is how I slowly learned the ropes of the job, and I even had a test drive, my trainer let me teach one of her classes at the end of my training. She told me that I was a really good intern and that put a foot in the door for me for future jobs or internships in my field of study. Now that I was able to save up a lot of money thanks to all my work and my internship I have to choose if I want to travel as a tourist in Europe or, if I want to volunteer abroad.

I say no to become an aqua fitness instructor.

I decided to not do the internship to become an aqua fitness instructor. I will continue to give swimming lessons but sadly I won't be able to make enough money to travel.

I accepted the internship and I really liked it. I learned a lot of things with Emily she was the family lawyer that I was doing my internship with. The law firm liked me so much that they decided to offer me a job after my internship.

Accept the job position at the law firm.

I decided to accept the position as a lawyer, and I started with a good pay. A few weeks passed working there, and I was shocked to see all the corruption and bribery that was happening there. It was a big law firm, and we had important clients like CEO of big companies, celebrities and just really powerful people. I had heard of lawyer being corrupted before, but I had never experienced it or seen it with my own eyes. Some lawyers received threats against their families if they didn't do what the client wanted them to do others were bribed with enormous amount of money, there was even one time when a CEO of a really important company offered a lawyer a part of his assets in exchange for a favor. Even I got offered a bribe to defend a celebrity who was accused and culpable of theft. I refused but m colleagues laughed at me for refusing it. I started receiving even more offers of bribes and threats from clients. That's when I really saw how corrupt was the law firm, and I had to decide if I wanted to quit or continue working there.

Choice 1 : Quit the law firm.

Choice 2 : Don't quit the law firm.

After a year working there, I finally decided to quit the law firm. It really was the best choice I then went to a smaller firm that did simpler cases, but it was a much better environment. I will continue to work there until another opportunity opens up to me.

I decided to not quit the law firm. I am starting to get more comfortable in this environment, and I am learning the ropes on how to manage all those requests of bribery. I am getting used to that life, and I even started accepting bribers that gave me lots of money.
