Hello, my name is Jihanne Adelson, and when I was in high school, I wasn't too sure of where to go after school. I Knew I wanted to do something that involves psychology. I finally decided that I wanted to help people like my mom did, as a social worker. The only problem was that I didn't know in which college I should apply for since I wasn't really familiar with taking the bus or the subway, I didn't know what was a better match for me.
Choice 1 : College Marie Victorin (Social Service).
Choice 2 : The Cegep of the Vieux Montreal.

The College Marie Victorin was the cegep that was closer to me than the other one. My only problem with this college was that it was deep in Montréal-Nord... I really waned to be able to go there without any problem or risk of getting hurt.
Choice 1 : Uber to take me to College MV.
Choice 2 : My parents take me to College MV with the family car.
Choice 3 : The bus of STM to take me to College MV.
The Cegep of the Vieux-Port de Montreal was the college that I was more interested into because I always like the idea of being in Downtown Montreal or Vieux-Port. The only issue here was that I never took the subway alone, and I was actually scared of it because of all the stories I've heard about murders and aggressions there.
Choice 1 : Take the subway by myself for the first time to get to College Vieux Montreal
Choice 2 : Take the uber everyday to get to College Vieux Montreal
To me take an Uber is one of the best ideas to get to the college MV, since it is not too far from my house. Plus, the distance is not that much, so the price won't be too bad.
Choice 1 : Pay the Uber for myself to go to college MV.
Choice 2 : Make my parents pay for my Uber to get to College MV.
Paying an Uber every day to go to school won't be a problem to me since I have a good paycheck. The only problem is that I will lose money over something that could be done for free.

At first, it was great, but I didn't like the idea of still being dependent of my parents.
Choice 1 : First day at College.
This is the best option to me because my parents are okay to pay it every month. Plus, I can be more independent to go hang out whenever.
Choice 1 : First day at College MV.
My first day at school was pretty impressive since it was genuinely a new beginning. There was new people everywhere, so a good opportunity to get to know people and potentially create new relationships. Or I should be just concentrate on my studies.
Choice 1 : Concentrate in my studies first.
Choice 2 : Socialize and maybe get new friends.
I personally have to concentrate on my studies to get a good scholar year. College is long and annoying sometimes (most of the time), but at least it helped me reach my goal.

Socializing is really nice, I get to meet different kinds of people, and I can even go out more because friends always has things to do or somewhere to be. When I'm socializing I don't know when to stop and concentrate on myself and my goals.
Choice 1 : Keep Socializing.
Choice 2 : Get back on track by studying in study.
Get to know people in College is always better than just stays alone and not experiencing right?
Choice 1 : My downfall (College MV).
After seeing that my grades started to lower drastically I quickly started to study. Plus I was already starting to get annoyed by trying to maintain friendships like it's a contract.

I made a lot of friends and even created a friend group. I hang out a lot with friends, but I don't really have time to study. My grades are dropping a little bit, but I'm not too scared since I know I have time in a session. The aftermath of a restaurant night with friends, I received the grades of an exam, and the teacher insisted for me to show it to my parents. After that, I showed it to my friends, and they started to act weird towards me. After sometimes the completely stop talking to me. When I showed my grades to my parents they took me back to our homeland to go study there, and potentially get married...

Go to the subway was such a weird experience, but still interesting. I was waiting for the train, and I saw a homeless man that screamed and jumped on tracks. I was so shocked I couldn't eat all day. I even started not go to school anymore because of how scared I was of taking the subway again.

I was so traumatized by what saw in the subway that I completely stopped going to school and do anything. I even had a depression.

The Uber was the best choice for me because I get to the city every day. Even if I'm born here, I don't get to see Montreal downtown every day, so when I have the opportunity why not?
Choice 1 : First day at College MV.
