Eurostar.
In 2017 and 2020 I was living and working in London, for Eurostar. My job with Eurostar saw me travel between London, Paris, Marseille, Brussels and Amsterdam as member of the onboard customer service team. Whilst at Eurostar I decided that I would like to be trained and becoming a cabin crew and perform a role as part of an airline. This change of direction would build on my years of customer service with TGV in France, and Eurostar in London.
Choice 1 : Cabin Crew.
Choice 2 : Support Worker.
Cabin Crew.
In January 2018 I completed and passed my cabin crew training with both Air France and British Airways. I had two options available to seek a post with Air France and work out of Paris, or to seek a post with British Airways and remain in London.

Air France.
In 2020, due to Covid my hours were reduced significantly with Eurostar, and Air France stopped advertising for cabin crew. Therefore, I had to seek alternative employment. No Job for as cabin crew.

British Airways.
I chose to seek a position with British Airways and to have the option to secure either a short or long-haul position. Choosing either short or long haul would have an impact on where I remained living, where I was based or relocating towards Heathrow Airport. I chose to apply for short haul flights, and remain at the location I was residing at, due to financial reasons and having an established support network. In 2020, due to Covid my hours were reduced significantly with Eurostar, and British Airways stopped advertising for cabin crew. Therefore, I had to seek alternative employment.

Support Worker.
When looking for alternative work during Covid, I decided to seek OJT in the care sector in UK instead of returning back to France to seek work there. I applied for and was successful in seeking a position for Royal Institue for the Blind as support worker, as the role and responsibilities were more in line with what I wanted to do. During this time, I applied for my work visa in Canada.
Choice 1 : Move to Canada.
Choice 2 : Volunteering Abroad.

In 2020 I choses to remain as a support worker as this provide me experience and skills which I could use if I was successful in obtaining a work visa for Canada. I was awarded my work visa and started seeking viable employment in Quebec.
Choice 1 : Stay Personal Support Worker.
Choice 2 : To become a nurse.
Volunteering Abroad.
My dream of going on an adventure and doing volunteer work didn't come true in the end, and I don't think working for free for monts would have suited me. So I chose to remain as a support worker.

Stay Personal Support Worker.
I moved to Quebec in 2020 and took up a post I had secured. After few months, I decided to change jobs and had the option to seek an alternative position in Quebec City or move to Ottawa. I made the decision to relocate to Ottawa, as I had been successful in a job application for a residential home for the elderly.

To become a nurse.
In 2024 I flet I had two options open to me, to continue working as PSW/ Support worker, or to give this up and train to become a nurse. In deciding where I should study( either in Ottawa or return to Quebec) I had to weigh up my options and make a choice.
Choice 1 : Study in Quebec (Cegep Vieux Montreal).
Choice 2 : Study in Ontario ( St-Laurence College).

As I am French speaking I chose to relocate to Montreal and study for my nursing degree there, as the language would not impact my ability to study.
Choice 1 : From graduation to Employment.
Choice 2 : Continue at University.

After living in London, I learned English and overcame my fear of speaking that language, even if I still make mistakes. I couldn't risk doing my nursing course in that language. However, to save lives, you need to understand fully your profession in a language you're completely comfortable with. Sorry "Shakespeare".

From graduation to Employment.
The options, and subsequent choices I have made have led me to where I am today. However, going forwards I will continue to have options and will need to make choices at the moment I'll do take up a nursing position after passing my nursing degree and go into the workforce full time at emergency area in Pierre-Boucher hospital.

Continue at University.
Following the completion of my college level nursing diploma (DEC), I intend to pursue a bachelor's degree in nursing at either McGill University or the University of Sherbrooke. This will allow me to qualify as clinical nurse and specialise in either early childhood care or surgical nursing.
