Introduction.

My name is Juan Pablo Crivelli Meza. I am a student from Cegep Marie-Victorin. I am studying Social Sciences because I want to become a psychologist. I have also other plans if I failed. My plan A is Psychology, plan B is is to become a School Counceleor. I am planning to go to McGill University or at UQAM.

I applied to study counseling, and I was accepted at UQAM. This program is very non-demanding to apply to. I chose this program because it is similar to psychology. In order to graduate from this program I must get a master degree in careerology. However, I am planning to take a time of by doing some volunteering abroad or continue to get the master degree diploma. Another choice I have in is to participate in the Olympics in swimming. Swimming is has always been my passion.

After 3 years studying counseling. It is time to go for my master degree. I chose a specialty in school counseling because I want to help and guide young people to find their professional vocation.

Do some volunteering abroad.

After, finishing my first three years studying at UQAM. I am willing to to some volunteering abroad.My first choice is Mali because I want to help children under unfortunate circumstances also because I learned about this African country when I studied at Marie-Victorin College. However, but I have other choice I want to go to India to help poor people like Mother Teresa.

Mali is a country which the weather is very hot. I had never experienced a lot of heat in my life. My mother country, Mexico is not as hot as Mali. I could not stand the high heat at the beginning of this African country. I miss Canada's fresh weather. I am used already to fresh and cold weather however, I am enjoying this experience helping children in unfavorable conditions.

I chose India because it is one of the poorest countries in the world. This country is where Mother Teresa began her mission. I always admired her charity work. I joined temporally with the missionaries of charity, the order that Mother Teresa founded. These nuns invited many young people to volunteer temporarily. I thought that I was the only male volunteer. Fortunately, there were other male young men helping.

Master in school counseling.

Now that I finished the first three years of this program, I chose to do my Master in school counseling because I am sure that I want to help young people to find their vocation. I do not know where I would like to work after I graduate. My first choice is would be CJE Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi or in a high school.

The day I had been waiting for finally arrived, ''my graduation day''. I have a master's degree in counseling. I work as a counselor in a high school in Montreal. Helping young people discover themselves is a rewarding experience. It is sometimes challenging despite the difficulties I am learning different stuff which helps to improve more in my career.

Coming back home.

My volunteering in Mali was an unforgettable experience. This experience helped me to be grateful because I could see other reality, other situations. Also, this sabbatical time helped me to be out of my comfort zone. Being out of my comfort zone helped me to be more generous, not to mention more open-minded to other cultures. I am coming back home in order to continue with my studies because I am willing to get my master's degree in counseling.

Coming back to Montreal.

My experience volunteering at Calcutta, India was an unforgettable experience. This experience is now one of the most remarkable anecdotes in my life. I am coming back home to share with my family and friends my new experience. I chose India because this is the country where Mother Teresa started her mission. Also, she is one of the historical figures that I admire. Being in India opened my eyes because I could get out of my comfort zone and see the world differently. I am grateful because I realized how fortunate I am. Once I arrive home, I will continue with my studies at UQAM to get my masters in counseling. I hope to repeat this experience or similar to this. Finally, my acceptance letter has arrived. I was accepted to study psychology at McGill University. All the sacrifice and discipline during my studies have finally paid off. I was one of the students who got straight A's in my college program. Also, I earned a scholarship in order to study in the most prestigious university in Canada. I am so motivated to accomplish my objective to become a school psychologist. The first week at McGill University were great, I can not complaint. This University is Huge and will need time to get used to it. The professors of this University are stricter than my college teachers, and I get a lot of homework from them. I hope to get excellent grades like I did at Marie-Victorin College. I wanted to join to McGill chess club and be accepted into the team in order to participate in chess tournaments like I did at Marie-Victorin.

I finally achieved my goal I earned my Ph.D. in psychology. It took me a great deal of effort, discipline, and perseverance to obtain it. I spent countless hours doing research along with sleepless nights. I had to sacrifice my social life to pursue my Ph.D. I am so proud of myself for this achievement. Now, this is a new chapter of my life. Being a graduate from the most prestigious university in Canada, I have a lot of chances to be hired in plenty of places.

I completed six semesters at McGill. I decided to take a break because studying had burned me out. Therefore, I decided to travel abroad. My destination was Europe. I took a tour with a group of people with a travel agency. I went to three different countries: France, Spain, and Portugal. My favorite landmark in France was not the Eiffel Tower; it was the Cathedral of Notre Dame. This Gothic cathedral was stunning. I had never seen such a beautiful church in my life. Being inside Notre Dame was an unforgettable experience, also the mass (sacred ritual) was majestic and inspiring.

France is a beautiful European country. I had to admit it, however, Spain was very impressive as well. What I liked most about Spain was the gastronomy. I ate a paella, the traditional dish of Spain, and seafood as well. The city I love the most is Madrid, the capital of Spain. Spaniards were friendly and polite, unlike the French. Not all French people were mean, but people in Paris were very disrespectful and rude to me, especially in the hotel. I promised myself never to come back to|France.

The Final destination of my trip on the European continent was Portugal. Portugal was more delightful than Spain and France. Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is quite an interesting city. I tasted the food of this country, and I could tell that Portuguese wine is the best wine I have ever tasted. This city has some surprising places to visit. At the end of the trip and Portugal, I got too tired because Lisbon had a lot of climbs and descents. I hope to come back another day.

My vacation trip in Europe was a success. This trip was an amazing experience that helped me unwind from my stressful semesters. I am ready to continue with my studies, also I am willing to get my Ph.D. in Psychology. I was thinking of being a school psychologist in a private school or a psychologist in a public school. I am grateful to have lived through this experience new places and different people and cultures. I hope tom travel to another place. Japan perhaps.

I am glad that I finally had my first job as a school psychologist. I was hired at the College Notre Dame, a private high school located near the subway station of Côte-des-Neiges. This high school is in front of Saint-Joseph Oratory, the most important catholic shrine in all Canada. The environment of this private institution is very positive and dynamic. The students are very polite and respectful to me. They felt happy to have me as their psychologist. At the beginning, it was not easy because I was not used listening to many personal problems. Despite the challenges, I love my new job. I hope to stay here until I retire.

Public School.

After getting my degree, I was hired by the English Montreal School Board to be the school psychologist for James Lyng High School. Being the psychologist of this public school was challenging at the beginning, because like in many public schools. The students came from different backgrounds not to mention from unfavorable neighborhoods. It was challenging at the beginning; however, I succeeded in getting used to it. The students got used to me, therefore, and loved to meet me at my office. I love to listen to them and provide the advice they need for their well-being. I am grateful for having this opportunity.

Go to Olympics.

I was chosen to represent Canada in the Olympics. I could not believe what I heard. When the day arrived, I was in Vancouver. I was determined to win. The pool measured 50 meters long. The winner had to do 30 laps. 1500 meters in total.

I won the swimming Olympics. I won the silver medal. I was willing to win the first place, the golden medal. Despite the place, I am very proud of myself. I hope to win first place in the next Olympics. The end.

Unfortunately, I did not win the swimming Olympics. Not even the third place. I was disappointed because I trained a lot in order to achieve it. Well, it seems that I have to train more and improve myself. I hope to win at the next Olympics. The End.

I joined to McGill chess team, and I was welcomed by them. Chess has always been my passion since my childhood. I am excited to go to the next chess competition, the national chess competition.It was here in Montreal.

The chess competition was hard. There were many interesting and players in the chess tournament, including many international masters and Grandmasters of chess. Despite the harsh competition, I was victorious, champion of the national levels. I hope to compete in an international chess tournament one day. I was so proud of myself.

Unfortunately, I did not win the national chess competition. The chess players who participated in the chess tournament were intimidating. I was not a match for them. I was one of the first players who were eliminated. It was disappointing for me. Next time I will have to train harder and improve my game strategy. I am determined to win the next national chess tournament.
