Apply to college.

I finally finished high school at Mont-Saint-Louis. Now, I have to make an important decision. I need to choose which CEGEP I want to attend. CEGEP Ahuntsic is closer to where I live, but most of my friends are going to CEGEP Bois-de-Boulogne. Which one should I choose?

Choice 1 : Study at CEGEP Ahuntsic.

Choice 2 : Study at CEGEP Bois-de-Boulogne.

school

Study at CEGEP Ahuntsic.

I am quite happy studying at CEGEP Ahuntsic. However, I don't see my old friends very often. I spend most of my time studying, because my program (Natural Science) is quite difficult. Should I put aside my social life, and concentrate on my grades in order to pull off straight A's, or should I try to see my old friends more often?

Choice 1 : Concentrate on my grades.

Choice 2 : Concentrate on my social life.

Study at CEGEP Bois-de-Boulogne.

It's not going so well since I started attending this CEGEP. I like it, and I am happy to be with my friends, but I need to wake-up early every morning to get to CEGEP Bois-de-Boulogne, because I hate being late. However, more often than not, I go to sleep late. Consequently, I am always tired. Even when I am with my friends, I don't have enough energy to enjoy it. And my grades have never been this low. I really need your help. Should I change CEGEPs and go to CEGEP Ahuntsic, or should I stay here and work on my time management?

Choice 1 : Study at CEGEP Ahuntsic.

Choice 2 : Stay at CEGEP Bois-de-Boulogne.

Concentrate on my social life.

Oh no, I just finished my last semester, and my grades are not good enough for any program that interests me. This is maddening. Let's start over, please.

Choice 1 : Apply to college.

Concentrate on my grades.

It's incredible! I just finished my last semester at CEGEP Ahuntsic, and I am satisfied with my grades. Moreover, I made some new friends even though I studied a lot the past two years. Now, I have a really important choice to make. Should I go to university, or should I take a year off?

Choice 1 : Take a year off.

Choice 2 : Go to university.

studying

Stay at CEGEP Bois-de-Boulogne.

I really tried my best, but this CEGEP is clearly not for me, nor is waking-up early. I am overwhelmed by all the assignments, and I always feel behind other students. This needs to change. Let's study at CEGEP Ahuntsic instead.

Choice 1 : Study at CEGEP Ahuntsic.

Take a year off.

A year off sounds great! Should I take it easy, or should I find a full-time job?

Choice 1 : Take it easy.

Choice 2 : Find a full-time job.

Go to university.

I think going to university is a good idea. I already know I want to study at Université de Montréal (UdM). But which program should I choose? Studying was worthwhile, because I can choose a BAC that I like, but which one is the best for me?

Choice 1 : Pursue a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology.

Choice 2 : Pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine.

Choice 3 : Pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Choice 4 : Pursue a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience.

Pursue a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology.

I really liked this program. We learned how microbes (like bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites) interact with humans, animals, and the environment. We also learned how the immune system defends the body against them. I liked it so much that I decided to continue with a Master in the same field. Now, I have to find a job. Should I work for the government, or for a private company?

Choice 1 : Work in the private sector.

Choice 2 : Work in the public center.

This program was so interesting. I learned so much in three years. For example, this program provided me with a broad understanding of living organisms. We learned about genetics, ecology, physiology, and evolution. Moreover, we developed scientific thinking skills through research and data analysis. I liked it so much, I have also completed a Master in Biology. Now, I need to find a job. Should I choose a job in the public sector or the private sector?

A nice restaurant wanted to fill the vacant position of a waitress. I applied, and I was offered the job. All year, I worked 35-40 hours per week. At first, it was exhausting, but after a couple of weeks, I was used to this new environment. The pay was decent, but what really made a difference are the tips. They were really good, so I managed to save quite a bit of money. Now, I have to go to university.
