When I immigrated to Canada, I wasn't sure whether to continue my previous job as a radiotherapy technologist or choose a new field of study, such as medical ultrasound imaging. Should I attend college or a university? Should I go to the English College or the French College?
Choice 1 : Go to Ahuntsic College for the medical ultrasound program.
Choice 2 : Go to Dawson College in Radiation therapy program.

After too much research about this field of study and the working conditions after graduation, I finally started my journey to study the medical imaging field to become an ultrasound technician.
Choice 1 : Keep my school path in three Years.
Choice 2 : Keep my school path in four years.
I decided to finish my college Education program in three years. The first semester was good, and I passed all of my classes. The second semester was difficult because I had 6 classes, and all of my courses needed more time to study and practice in the Lab. I was stressed, and I couldn't concentrate in my lessons and for this reason, I failed 3 classes. And for this reason, I had to change my path in four years.
Choice 1 : I drop out of school.
After the semester 2 that I failed 3 courses, I was disappointed, and I had to put my school path in Four years. My API helped me to choose the courses during the next semester, and I feel more relaxed, and I had more time for studying at home and going out with my husband.
Choice 1 : I chose to do my internship at CHUM hospital.
Choice 2 : Go to do my internship at Maisonneuve Rosemont Hospital.
I chose to do my internship at CHUM hospital. I think it's an equipped hospital in Montreal, and I can see many cases of patients. During my internship, I will work as an intern under the supervision of an experienced technician. I can do three different types of ultrasound examination, like abdominal and pelvic, and obstetrics and gynecology. This hospital is a general hospital and there isn't any cardiology department, so I have to the ultrasound of heart in Montreal Cardiology Institute. I have passed all of my internships and now, I'm ready for my graduation.
Choice 1 : It's Graduation time.
I passed all of my courses and also my internship. Now, I have graduated from Ahuntsic College and getting my diploma. I can look for a job as an ultrasound technologist. There are two options for me to find a job. I can choose between a hospital and a private clinic.
Choice 1 : Work in a Hospital.
Choice 2 : Work in a private clinic.
I chose to work in a hospital because in a hospital we had more benefits than in a private clinic. Working in a hospital has many challenges, such as many of patients and sometimes emergency patients. Now, I need to decide between working as a general ultrasound technologist or an obstetric ultrasound technologist.
Choice 1 : Being a general ultrasound technician.
Choice 2 : Being an obstetric ultrasound technician.
I finally found my path to work in a hospital as a general ultrasound technologist in the Jiff hospital. I think working in a big hospital like Juif give me more challenge instead of private clinic. I will be working there for rest of my professional life until my retirement.

After 30 years of working in a hospital as an ultrasound technologist. I finally retired at age 65. It wasn't an easy decision, but I think I need more free time to rest and have more fun with my family and my friends. I will miss my job as an ultrasound technician, but sometimes I will go to visit my coworkers. Now, it's my own free time to do all of things that I want to do.

Now, I'm studying in a radiation therapy program at Dawson College. It's a difficult program and emotionally hard because we are faced with the patients that suffered from cancer, so I have two choices: I can stay in the program, or I can change my field of study.

I chose to drop out of school because I felt exhausted and so tired.

I finally decided to stay at Dawson College to study in another field of the health system, and I chose the medical ultrasound program. To be accepted in this program, there is an interview process, and unfortunately, I failed this interview. Now, I have just one choice to continue my studies in radiation therapy program.

Choice 2 : Staying in the radiation therapy program and doing my internship at Victoria hospital.
I'm really happy that I can pass my internship at Victoria hospital in Montreal because this hospital is famous in Montreal and I have more chances to have accepted me as a radiation therapy technician after graduation. In this hospital, there are many machines for different treatment of cancers. Now, it's my graduated time. .

After around 25 years of working in Victoria hospital as a radiation therapy technologist for the treatment of cancer, I decided to be retired at age of 64. Now, I have many things to do. Furthermore, I put enough money aside for my retirement period. Fortunately, I have many friends for planning vacancies and going out to eat and doing different types of activities.

Instead of working in hospital and having many patients, I prefer choosing to work in a private clinic because for two reason s. Firstly, they paid me more money and secondly, I work in a quiet environment and smaller patient volume. Although, I can choose between the different private clinic.

I finally found my path to work as an obstetric technician in Sainte-Justine Hospital. I like to work with pregnant patients who come in for various examinations to evaluate the health of their babies. It's a hard time if we find any anomaly during this examination, but that's not our job to explain it to the parents, because that's a responsibility of radiologists.

Finally, I decided to change my study program of radiation therapy to medical ultrasound program because I found that one was more interesting for me.

After talking with my responsible for my internship, she decided to send me to the hospital Maisonneuve Rosemont for doing the abdominal general ultrasound imaging.
