The-meeting

A stormy evening.

One stormy evening, the Creature from Frankenstein wanders into a quiet London street. There, he meets Henry Adams, who is still puzzled by the power of the million-pound banknote. Their conversation begins. Creature: Who are you, sir? You do not run from me like others do. Henry Adams: I am Henry Adams, an American who found himself in London with nothing but a million-pound note. And you, what are you? Creature: I was created by a man who abandoned me. The world sees me as a monster, though I only seek kindness. Henry Adams: That is unfair! I, too, have been judged wrongly. People think I am wealthy because of this note, but in truth, I have nothing of my own. Creature: Then we are alike. Judged not by who we are, but by what others see in us. Henry Adams: Perhaps the world values appearance too much. But we must not lose hope—kindness can still be found.

Choice 1 : Choice 1: Henry gives the Creature the million-pound note.

Choice 2 : Choice 2: Henry keeps the million-pound note and invites the Creature to dinner.

Henry gives the Creature the million-pound note.

The Creature hesitates but follows Henry to a small restaurant. The waiters are horrified, but Henry speaks confidently. “My friend and I will dine together,” he says, flashing the million-pound note. The staff convinced they are serving a rich man, and allowed them to stay. For the first time, the Creature experiences kindness—not because of who he is, but because of wealth. As they eat, Henry vows to help him find a place in the world. Moral: Sometimes, kindness is hidden behind fear, but true friendship can change fate.

Choice 1 : The Creature takes the note with trembling hands. “With this, I can prove I am worthy,” he says. He enters a shop, but the shopkeeper panics at his appearance and calls the police. Though the note is real, no one believes the Creature deserves such wealth. He flees, realizing that money cannot change how others see him. Alone once more, he disappears into the night, while Henry wonders if he has made a mistake. Moral: Society judges not by wealth, but by appearance.
