I'm a student at Ahuntsic college doing a double diploma in Social Science and Health Science. After three years of college, now, its time to decide which university program to apply to.

Choice 1 : Study Law.

Choice 2 : Study Cybersecurity and Police Studies.

Study Law.

Boring ! Studying law in order to become a lawyer in a country other than where it was studied may be unwise because legal systems are significantly different. Most law degrees have relevance only in the country you studied law in, and if you move abroad your law degree may not be recognized. Even if your law degree is recognized, becoming a lawyer in a different legal system usually requires years of additional study or expensive qualification exam fees. The profession is also keenly competitive and with few opportunities for foreign lawyers. Lastly, many people find the legal curriculum inflexible and overly theoretical. Law degrees do not transfer as many practical skills as a programs such as Cybersecurity or International Relations.

Great choice ! Laval University.

Boring ! The program over there is not interesting at all ! Unfortunately, the Cyber Security and Police Studies programs are not offered together at Laval University . Instead of combining them, Laval University offers them in two separate programs, one in criminology and the other in cybersecurity. The criminology program focuses on understanding what goes on inside a criminal's head, as well as his or her social connections in real life . On the other hand, The cybersecurity program focuses more on the computer aspect of cybersecurity.Dividing the two can mean that some students don't find what they're looking for at Laval University and lose interest in pursuing it for 4 consecutive years.

Interpol.

Excellent choice ! Interning at INTERPOL can be great for a person pursuing a degree in cybersecurity and police studies. INTERPOL gives internship opportunities in a few areas, which include cybercrime, intelligence analysis, legal affairs, and forensic science. Internships allow you the chance to get experience of working in an international law enforcement environment, and experience working with a variety of professionals from different backgrounds, which better enables a consideration of global perspectives on crime troubles and responses. With an experience like that, you may want to stay over there to work with them ! Now you will have to make a selection as to which field you want to complete your internship body !!

GRC. (Royal Canadian Mounted Police).

You can do better !
