Your Strange Life as An Accountant!

Doing well at school.

You're finally in your dream school and in your dream program! Good job you! You've put endless hours into studying cash flow, assets and even how to make journal entries, so you could be better than your classmates (you're very ambitious...).You have only known straight A's, never put aside work, and you're always thoughtful about the future. That's just how you are! As you step inside of the building, you decide to take a look around. Your time management skills have always been impeccable, so you showed up earlier than most! As you're walking through the lengthy hallways you suddenly hear the bell ring and get lost in your thoughts. You've spent so much of your life just being the perfect student, maybe this time you won't work as thoroughly?

Choice 1 : Let's be a bad student

Choice 2 : Let's keep working hard :D

In front of your new school!

What did you expect...

Well, that was surprising. I'm going to be honest I have no idea why you would want to do this. You had a bright future ahead of you... Cough cough...I shall keep narrating: You suddenly decided that you were done.It wasn't that easy pulling off straight A's. If anything, it was absolutely maddening! You slowly become a drug addict, your parents ask you what caused this sudden change, but you don't care. You're filled with the rage of a teenager(a bit late for that don't you think?) and you let yourself go wild. One day, a random guy gives you this new rainbow drug to try. You cast a cursory glance before injecting it in your veins. He then asks you to tell him how you feel, but you suddenly drop dead, so I guess he'll never get your review. Let's truly try again, okay?

Choice 1 : Come back to the past

Well you messed up

On the job training.

Your hard work paid off, and it is finally time for it to show its fruits! You've finally finished your accounting degree. Assets, equity, inventory, cash flow and financial statements? You know them like the back of your hand. It's your first day at your OJT (and the offered wage is great!). You researched thoroughly the company you'll work as a trainee for, so you could avoid any potential drawback. As you were being trained by your team leader on how to handle the newly acquired company assets, you started to notice that he shows a clear bias towards Catherine! Poor girl, that kind of attention is clearly not welcomed. Indeed, she has tried to ignore his flirting for the third time now. What will you do?

Choice 1 : Take care of him YOURSELF

Choice 2 : Report him

Choice 3 : Not my problem!

#atwork #lookatyougo!

Sexual harassment...won???

You're a good guy. But, that was not the way to go!Punching him did probably deter him from ever speaking to a woman in such a manner. It also seems like you forgot you were a trainee...Sexual harassment is unforgivable but your impulsivity will cost you. Poor Catherine is now in the middle of a scandal and dreads coming in to work due to being put on the spotlight (all thanks to your brash approach). Now only that, but your misconduct caused you to lose your job! The perpetrator got away as a victim of physical violence since you didn't provide any proof. It doesn't help that since then, Catherine is now being sexually harassed by another guy since she's started isolating herself. Hum, I kind of pity you, so I will be offering you some help! I think you should NOT resort to physical violence much less in a work environment...Let's rewind time okay?

Choice 1 : Step in the Tardis (I love Dr.Who)

:(

Take that sexual harassment!

Phew! You decided to report him, and he's been properly investigated! Turns out other women have been at the receiving end of his flirtation and your report prompted them to come forward to testify. The company took the matter very seriously and Catherine is very thankful that you spoke up for her! This experience reminded you when you worked as a part-time student in a nearby busy store and your superior kept throwing unwelcome remarks about your body. Nobody had defended you back then. Recalling this, you feel even more pride that you were able to prevent that happening to someone else. Good job, man ;D! Now, how about we apply for a job at your dream company? It's about time (and I might help out to reward your behaviour...!).

Choice 1 : Office politics (ouch).

Happy Catherine

Bad internship.

Well, you're a terrible human being for that. But, since I'm a narrator I am unable to smack some sense into you... Moving on! Congratulations, your work has been even more recognized. You're nearing graduation and with no remorse of your past actions you managed to secure an internship at Nomorals Inc. You fit right in with the others! The OJT came in handy and gave you a foot in the door! You steadily learn the ropes as to not overwhelm yourself in this unfamiliar environment. It's kind of a bummer since as an intern you don't earn as much as you would've liked.I mean who would've thought Nomorals. Inc would underpay their workers! (shocker). The other employees look like they're exhausted at the prospect of even being near you. As time goes on you and no proper support is offered you end up just treating everything like a test drive and hope it goes for the best. Slowly but surely you're losing motivation...Will this be your everyday life when you graduate? As you look through your school's website, something catches your attention! Shall we go on a trip? :D.

Choice 1 : Let's go help abroad!

Choice 2 : Stay at your bad company for some reason

Well well well

Volunteering abroad (Woohoo!).

After hours of being on a plane you finally made it to Brazil! You're immediately welcomed by a nice looking man. He presents himself as Nicolas Marche. His French pronunciation of words makes it a little difficult to understand what he's saying, but you can tell he takes his job to heart! You and other people have signed up to help renovate an elementary school for free. As you interact with the locals and the other helpers, you start to see how people can make this their life's purpose. There are no premium wages, no, your reward is the invaluable feeling that kids will be able to go to a functional school when vacation is over. You suddenly feel grateful for not sticking to your accounting job. Managing accounts, clients, providers, stocks and the supply chain? It lost its appeal the moment you landed in Brazil. You've decided to join Nicolas Marche permanently to help those in need and no one will be able to convince you otherwise.(Geez, this sounds like the ending of a melodrama).

Choice 1 : Congrats on reaching the A Life Changing Trip ending!

You've come a long way

Corruption....(evil emoji).

Well, you can fault your company for many things but false advertisement? Nope! Absolutely nothing is ever done about your complaints and any attempts at changing things up fail miserably. The longer you stay in the company, the more difficult it becomes to bear the toxic work environment that's practically ingrained. Bribe, theft, and threats? That's your daily routine now. You spend more of your time trying to survive than managing finances. It's the survival of the fittest! During lunch period, you overhead your supervisor concoct a plan to overthrow the king (your boss) to steal his treasures (assets). What a weirdo! Is this what your life has come to? You know what? To hell with it! How about we help him out?

Choice 1 : Let's do it!

corrupted!

Don't you just love HR?

Hip-hip hooray! Guess what! Your dear narrator pulled some strings and was able to get you an interview! One day, you woke up and got called in for a vacant position at your dream company Amazingperson Inc. You went through the basic background check, and they were quite satisfied to learn you were a model citizen! The position is quite nothing short of amazing. Your leave of absence will be generously paid for and the compensation package is amazing! It's almost too good to be true...Hmm... I suddenly have a weird feeling about this. Maybe, you should think twice about it? I heard there's some good volunteering trips offered by OnlinewithNick and with what you went through recently it could help clear up your mind! How about it?

Choice 1 : Let's go on a trip!

Choice 2 : No let's work here

Very nice company...?

Volunteering abroad goes wrong.

You've finally landed in Algeria! The trip was long but as your favourite narrator I made sure to at least book you first class!(Don't mention it!)The man who welcomed you was named Nikolaus Wanderin. He barely shook your hand before grumbling words under his breath.Something about his French brother in Brazil, but who knows, you could be wrong...You turned around and took the initiative to bond with the others about their purpose here. When the instructor returns, he brings out the 30 students.Indeed, you will be tutoring them along with the others all you've learned at school about accounting! You didn't notice the weeks fly by and soon enough it was time to fly back home again. With newfound love for your field and experience, you were able to secure a great job opportunity! (I'm so happy for you!) Let's skip a few years, yeah?

Choice 1 : Let the time pass...

On a trip!

Office politics (yikes).

It has been terrible. You've been here for some time now, and you've been feeling like your coworkers want you gone. The company looked indeed too good to be true. The employees seem to be in some kind of disturbing competition with each other. Your desk mate is always withholding important information you missed out on and your team manager keeps hindering you by taking person credit from your work! This keeps resulting in management undermining your contribution to the team. More often than not, you wish you never took the job.As you get sucked in these bad thoughts, a newfound determination surges.Yeah, let's not give up yet! How about we file complaints about our stolen work?

Choice 1 : File a complaint

Choice 2 : This is not worth the hassle...

office

Your retirement!

Wow, you've aged huh? But that's nothing new, your body has been telling you this through back pain(seem like you have other liabilities to deal with these days.Ha, Ha. get it?) You've worked and committed years of your life to this company. But even with your passion for accounting the drive of work is simply not there anymore. You've set aside enough for your pension and fully paid off your mortgage. Thanks to you, your child won't need to worry about housing. You've had highs and lows but in the end this resulted in a great life. The wrinkles on your face are physical proof of happiness, anger, sadness and fear you went through. This is how your strange life as an accountant comes to an end. (And how your strange life as an old man begins!).

Choice 1 : Congrats on reaching The Retirement ending!

old man!

Do you not care?

You're lazy to the point you wouldn't even want to stand up for yourself? Whatever, *picks up script*. You decided that reporting this to the higher ups was too much of a hassle. As the atmosphere at the office gets worse and worse, bank statements, balance sheets and all that accounting stuff isn't as fun. It's tiring to do your work knowing you'll never be acknowledged for it and now the word ''depreciation'' starts to look more and more like depression. You knew that all the years spent studying to become an accountant couldn't lead to this dead-end job.How much of a bummer would that be? Maybe, just maybe, if you were self-employed you would feel less stuck? Hey, how about we launch your own accounting firm!?

Choice 1 : Let's get down to business!

Choice 2 : No.

Choice 3 : Get revenge

bad things going on

Business is booming ;).

You somehow managed to gather enough investors to start up your own accounting firm.Just as you thought, it feels very freeing to work on your own schedule without anyone stealing off your work! Being in such a bad corporation motivated you to have strict ethics and slowly but surely your business grows. Your employees are treated with the respect they deserved! You start being invited into shows in order to promote your business model, and you become a must-know in the accounting world! No, just kidding. Be honest what did you expect? Where would you get that many investors when you have no solid resume yet? You took out loans you couldn't pay and had to file for bankruptcy.Sadly, that loan came from a shady loan company called The Walkers. Just like in the zombies in The Walking Dead, they endlessly chased you down and swiftly took care of you...

Choice 1 : Congrats on reaching The Walking Dead ending!

zombie haha get it?Ahem..

You know what, fine.

I have been so nice to you. (not really) What do you want from me then???You won, I am done. You kept working in that terrible company and on a random Monday you stumbled upon a lottery ticket. Congratulations, you landed on a winning ticket. You're the lucky winner of 800 000 000 000 billion dollars (somehow that is possible). After you go through the usual procedure and paper work, you finally had access to your funds. Now you shall live lavishly for years to come. Cheers to you...

Choice 1 : Congrats on reaching the Tired Narrator Wants You Gone ending!

FINE.

Revenge is a dish...

Oh! I like where this is heading...Ahem.You clocked in as usual to work but today you decided that you were done dealing with these people. You decided to search up on your phone food poisoning 101. A great step by step tutorial came up by Nike Cola Walking. After taking note and making the suspicious mixture you head to the cafeteria and slip in the mix into every plate without being caught! You weren't too worried about being caught since no one ever paid attention to you anyway. When the time for diner came up, you positioned yourself nicely in the corner of the company's cafeteria and watched as they all one by one ran to the bathroom to vomit their guts out. (Muhahaha nice!).But now I'm wondering, weren't there any cameras?

Choice 1 : No

Choice 2 : Sadly yes...

Choice 3 : Not your business...

best served cold!

No face no case.

The police came in later that day but, they were unable to link the crime back to you. The company temporarily closed due to the possible violation of food regulations. In the meantime, you kept working at home. Sadly the disadvantage of being an accountant is that most of the important work can be done at home...A few weeks pass by, and you still work at that company. The only difference is that you now found a fun way to deal with your frustration at your job! (poor company).

Choice 1 : Congrats on reaching The Jokster ending!

You would love Youtube pranks!

Not a Smooth Criminal...

If only you took proper precautions! The police was able to identify your features, and you were immediately arrested! They even played Smooth Criminal by MJ to take a dig at poorly attempted criminal act. After the whole legal shebang is done you find yourself in the worst prison ever! Thankfully, your quirkiness helped you adapt quickly around here. You file taxes in exchange for favors and unofficially run the place. Accounting really was your calling! You were just too weird for a proper workplace!(no offense) Happy that stuff ended up somehow working out for you! ;).

Choice 1 : Congrats on reaching Orange is The New Black ending!

You've been hit by...

How rude!

Humph, how secretive. Two can play at that game! After you get away with the act, you feel an immense sense of guilt! Maybe poisoning your coworkers was a tad dramatic... You spend months focusing and picking up work no one wants to do like recording journals or even taking care of book value. Despite all of your efforts, that guilt simply never leaves you. Filled with regret, you head home once again after your shift and book a flight to—.

Choice 1 : Congrats on reaching the ??? ending!

Deserved.

Collaboration of the century.

You met up with him not too long after you heard his malicious plans and convinced him to let you in on the it! You and your partner in crime devised a plan and patiently waited til night to put it into action. When everyone finally left the building, you and him headed towards the main office area.Making sure no cameras would catch your hidden faces, you managed to break in the boss' office! You and your companion happily skipped towards a suspicious safe.Thankfully, you were able to find a Youtube tutorial(after watching the two mandatory ads of course) and collected the money. After collecting the money and fleeing the scene, you and him spend months booking flights, boat rides and whatnot to throw the police off your track. With your accounting skills, you're able to properly invest anonymously in shares of successful companies and live comfortably for decades to come with your newfound friend!

Choice 1 : Congrats on reaching the BFF ending!

BFF!:D
