It was the end of high school. Now that I had gotten straight A's, I needed to apply to CEGEP. I didn't know what to do next. I didn't know if I wanted to apply to Ahuntsic college or Montmorency college.
Choice 1 : Study in Ahuntsic College.
Choice 2 : Study in Montmorency College.
I decided to go to Ahuntsic college, where I got straight A's because the teachers were all amazing. I developed great time management skills that helped me pull off great results. Once I graduated, I felt like it was some of the best years of my life. I had a dream of becoming a history teacher. I needed to choose which university I would attend.
Choice 1 : Attending Université de Montréal.
Choice 2 : Attending UQAM.
I decided to go to Montmorency College. It was the worst decision ever. My teachers were terrible, so I didn't get straight A's. I was not able to pull off a passing grade because I got sexually harassed. Today, I am working a dead-end job in a grocery store, and all off my old friends laugh at me for who I have become. I am such a looser, and I am no good to society, thanks to Montmorency College. Next time, make better choices.
Choice 1 : Applying to CEGEP.
I was able to pull off a passing grade in all of my courses. I did an internship while being in university, and was able to learn the ropes of becoming a history teacher. I even volunteered abroad during this time because I felt so inspired by what I learned about the world during my classes. Going to university de Montreal was an amazing decision. Now that I had my degree in education, I needed to choose which high school I would teach history at.
Choice 1 : Apply to Collège Mont-Saint Louis.
Choice 2 : Apply to Collège Reine-Marie.
Those years were pure horror. Impossible exams came in handy. The teachers were just reading their PowerPoints, and I got so bored with school I stopped going. I never did any internships because I was so overwhelmed by the impossible exams. I can't believe I paid to go to this college. I am now homeless, and am now a full time beggar at the Henri-Bourassa Station. Next time, make better choices.
Choice 1 : Applying to CEGEP.
I had a dream about becoming a high school teacher. After applying to Mont-Saint-Louis College and getting a positive response, my dream was finally about coming true. Since I had already received on the job training while doing my internships, I was ready to go as a history teacher. However, I had a choice to make. I needed to decide if I would teach grade 5 of high school or grade 1 of high school. While I was liking the idea of more mature students, I also wanted to teach the ins-and-outs of history to younger kids. I had a choice to make.
Choice 1 : Teach grade 1 of high school.
Choice 2 : Teach grade 5 of high school.
I had a dream about becoming a high school teacher. After applying to Reine-Marie College and getting a positive response, my dream was finally about to coming true.
Three months after I started, I started to feel really tired. These kids were crazy. Besides that, there was too much office politics between first grade teachers. I tried not to get sucked up in their drama, but it had become impossible overtime. The kids were not interested in learning history. I didn't know what to do next. But I felt like I had no choice but to try teaching in grade 5 the next year.
Choice 1 : Teach grade 5 of high school.
This was the best decision I had ever made. The kids were invested in learning the ropes of history. I was happy to go to class every morning with the passionate students. More often than not, I felt like I was teaching a bunch of adults. All of my students, on the first year, were able to pull off a passing grade.
Choice 1 : Continue this career.
After years of teaching, passion started to fade away. Sometimes, I felt like there was too much office politics. When I came back home, I remember withholding how I really felt about this office. One day, after a whole day of drudgery and alienation, the director came to me to ask for advice. He wanted to know how I felt about my colleague Jason. I had withheld for years to everyone around me how much I hated him. I needed to decide if I would tell my boss or do nothing about it.
Choice 1 : Tell My boss I Hate Him.
Choice 2 : Do Nothing About it.
The principal had a very understanding reaction when I told him. He told me I wasn't the first teacher who thought he was awful. This teacher that I hated got fired the next day. For the next 15 years, I felt like office politics were all of a sudden gone. It was an amazing decision! It's been 15 years now, and I am very close from retirement. I can say I had an amazing career as a teacher. I still needed to choose if I retired now or wait for another ten years.
Choice 1 : Retire Early.
Choice 2 : Retire Later.
I did nothing about it, when I had a golden opportunity to do so. For the next 15 years, I was forced to painfully work with that guy. Office politics were awful for all those years. I couldn't wait to retire. I felt like I had no choice but to retire early.
Choice 1 : Retire Early.
This was a terrible decision. I retired before I was able to pay off my mortgage, and I didn't have enough money to live comfortably. I ended my life poor and alone, because my kids and grand kids didn't want to see me because of how poor I was. I ended my life miserable. Next time, make better choices.
Choice 1 : Die Miserable.
Even if I felt tired of working, I still continued for another ten years. That ended up being a pretty good decision. I was able to pay off my mortgage. The end of my life would be full of trips all around the world. My kids and grand kids wanted to see me every other week because I had a lot of money. I died without regretting a single decision I made!
Choice 1 : Die peacefully.
I died without any regrets! I am so happy that I got to live a life full of purpose, a life full of good relationships, and full of attained goals. I made these choices with reason, and this is why I think everything ended up working well for me.
Choice 1 : Applying to CEGEP.
I truly feel like all my life, I was a spectator of the happiness of others. I never felt it for myself. My life was full of boredom, office politics, and other things that really doesn't matter a single bit when you truly think about it. But these things defined me, at the end. I destroyed all of my precious relationships, the only thing that really matters, only to be a contributor to the never ending capitalist exploitation. I lived a life without purpose. My life was somebody's worst nightmare, and that would be my last thought before I die. May the reader remembers that in real life, you can't go back on your choices.
