The beginning.

I am studying Accounting and Management Technology at Ahuntsic College. I studied in this program for three years, and It's my last semester. I have applied to universities, but I don't know what to do next.

Choice 1 : Go to university.

Choice 2 : Start a business.

Choice 3 : Travel.

Go to university.

I applied to three universities. I was debating between Concordia University, HEC, and UQAM. I applied for a BBA in Accounting and a Bachelor's in Accounting Sciences. I was accepted into all of them. Now, I don't know which one to choose.

Choice 1 : Concordia University.

Choice 2 : UQAM.

Choice 3 : HEC.

Start a business.

Since I started studying Accounting, I knew that someday I would start my own business. My interest in business grew over the years. I understand more about the corporate world and want to be part of it. Now that I have graduated in accounting, I think it is a good opportunity to put my knowledge learned to the test. Not long after, I started to do my research to find the perfect business plan. I still can't decide between the three options. I can open a dog care center. I can grow my teaching center into a big business. I can open a small bakery.

Choice 1 : Dog care center.

Choice 2 : Tutoring center.

Choice 3 : Bakery.

Do an internship.

I decided to do an internship in accounting to gain more experience. It will allow me to get OJT in my field of study. The wage of an intern wouldn't be great, but I will be able to test drive the job and learn the ropes. It could come in handy later by giving me a foot in the door. I got accepted into two internships. The EY accounting firm offered me an entry-level accounting internship, but I wouldn't get paid. CEGEP Saint-Laurent offered me an accounting internship with a great salary. I don't know which one to choose.

Travel.

After a lot of years of studying, I think I need a break. I should take some time off and travel worldwide. I never got the chance to travel during my school year since I had to work during school break, and I had to take summer classes. It can be pretty stressful and overwhelming. I don't know if I want to travel for a year or do it as a living.

Choice 1 : Travel for a year.

Choice 2 : Travel forever.

Concordia University.

It was my first time studying fully in English. I went to a French primary school, high school, and college. It was challenging at first, but I got used to it quickly. I came up with a thoughtful time management strategy. I put aside my phone when I was studying to avoid any distractions. I managed to pull off good grades. Three years later, I got my BBA in accounting diploma. I don't know what to do next.

Choice 1 : Travel.

Choice 3 : Do an internship.

HEC.

I learned a lot in school. Since it had a great Accounting program, I was able to expand my knowledge. I managed to pull of straight A's. I had to put aside my phone when I was studying. I came up with a thoughtful time management strategy. I excelled in every class and graduated with my Bachelors in Accounting Sciences with honors. I took extra courses and became a CPA. Now, I don't know what to do.

UQAM.

In my first year, I was maddening at school. The teachers weren't good. They only went through the PowerPoint and wouldn't explain the subject properly. I was behind in every course and was failing my classes because of my cursory studying methods. I had trouble managing my studies and my work. A year later, I got kicked out of my program because I was failing every class. I don't know what to do now.

EY internship.

I was an intern in my field of study. I experienced an on-the-job-training in accounting. I always dreamed about being an intern there. The EY accounting firm is one of the Big Three accounting firms in Montreal. At first, it took me a long time to learn the ropes. I had to learn a lot of new things in a short period. It was difficult learning the ropes. I was overwhelmed and couldn't sleep properly at night. Once I got the hang of all the ins-and-outs, I started to enjoy my internship days. My internship came in handy later my giving me a foot in the door. Since it was a great experience to put in my CV, I received a lot of jobs offers afterwards.

Choice 1 : Accounting Job.

CEGEP Saint-Laurent internship.

Since this internship offered me a great wage, I couldn't pass it. I was an accounting intern in CEGEP Saint-Laurent. My coworkers were really friendly and helpful. I really liked my internship days. After a while, I noticed that my manager started to make weird comments about my body. At first, I thought that he was flirting, but it became more recurrent and persuasive. It wasn't just a filtration anymore. He would make sexual and inappropriate comments when I was around. I tried to deter the perpetrator of his misconduct, but it didn't work. He didn't seem to know the difference between sexual harassment and being a flirt. Sometimes, he would even send me late-night texts that aren't work related and appropriate. That's when I realized that I was a victim of sexual harassment at work. I was the recipient of his misconduct, and I couldn't tolerate it anymore. I reported it to the higher authorities. After a few investigations and talks, he was found guilty and fired. It turns out that I wasn't the first one who he had misconduct. There were other recipients and perpetrators. Once my manager was gone, I was still filled with dread about coming to work. I quit two weeks later. It was overwhelming. I don't know what to do next.

Dog care center.

If you ask anybody around me, they would tell you that I love animals. I babysit dogs and cats for money. People would leave their pets with me while they traveled or were not home. People were willing to pay a lot of money to ensure their pet's happiness and safety. Nowadays, people are more willing to adopt animals than give birth to a child. That's why I came up with the idea of opening a day care center. Most of the time, pets stay alone during the day while their parents are at work. They can be depressed and lonely. With a dog daycare, they get so sociable with other dogs and have fun while their parents are away. After long research and planning, I finally opened my dog daycare center. Even with my hard marketing strategy efforts, I didn't get many clients in the first few weeks. I tried all the publicity methods that I learned in school, but it didn't work. Since I had no income entering, I couldn't pay my bills. I was two months late with my rent. I filed for bankruptcy and went broke.

Tutoring center.

I have a small tutoring center. Two years ago, I came up with the idea of starting a tutoring center. I have a small room that I transformed into a classroom in my house. We give tutoring classes on the weekends and weekdays after school hours for primary and secondary students. We help them with their homework, prepare them for their exams, or simply let them practice with extra exercises. I started with two students, and now we have up to 70 students. I have other tutors working with me. Education is a sector that will always be in demand. For every parent, the future of their child is non-negotiable. They will be willing to do everything in their power to ensure the success of their child, including enrolling him in a tutor center to improve his grades. Why shouldn't I spend all my knowledge I learned at school to enlarge my small tutor center into a big business? After a few weeks, I rented places from different locations and transformed them into a classroom. I opened my business in Côte-des-Neiges, Parc-Extension, and Saint-Michel. They are mostly immigrant neighborhoods, which is exactly our target client. I hired qualified tutors and trained them. I applied all the marketing strategies that I learned in school to get more clients. A few weeks later, clients wouldn't stop calling us to enroll their children. All of our branches got booked quickly. After a few months, we opened more locations around Montreal. We were known as Kumon, which means that our business was a success.

Bakery.

I always liked baking. It was a way to relieve my stress and a fun way to make money. Then, I taught myself, why shouldn't I create a business out of it? I opened my bakery in a popular neighborhood. It is called Baking Buddies. I used all the marketing strategies that I learned in school and made my bakery known. I was working full-time in this business to make it better. A few weeks later, clients were overflowing. I got a lot of custom cakes and cupcake orders. Some of my clients even booked me to do their wedding cakes. I had to hire new employees, and my business got bigger. I opened new branches in Downtown and Laval. My business was successful.

Travel for a year.

I traveled for a year straight. I went alone but made a lot of friends along the way. I stayed for two months in Europe. I visited a new European country each week. I went to France, Germany, England, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Belgium. Then, I spent three months in Africa. I went from Algeria to South Africa. It was a beautiful continent full of culture. After, I spent 3 months in Asia. I discovered East Asian countries such as Japan, the Philippines, China, South Korea, Thailand, and many more. I went to South Asian countries like Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Finally, I spent the 4 remaining months in southern countries such as Cuba, Bora Bora, the Maldives, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and many more. Now that I am back in Montreal, I don't know what to do.

Travel forever.

I decided to travel for life and to document my journey to post it online. I started to gain more views over the months. I started to travel to more dangerous places to gain more views and make more money. I went to a cannibal island and got lost there. Since there is no internet connection and normal humans, nobody could find me. Turns out that a cannibal family found me and ate me alive.

Choice 1 : I Died.

Rich.

I became successful over the years. I invested most of my money in stocks and savings plans. The market went up, and the cryptocurrency got a boost as well. I got the chance to make a lot of money. I bought a big house, got a luxurious car, and even found the love of my life. We got married and had two kids together.

Poor.

I lost all my money. I couldn't pay back my credit cards. Banks and lenders were after me. My parents kicked me out because I tried to steal their money as well. I am currently begging in Décarie with the hope of collecting enough money to buy myself a junior chicken.

Accounting Job.

With great experience, I got a lot of good jobs offers. Big accounting firms as Deloitte and KPMG offered me an accountant audit position. I chose Deloitte because they offered me better social benefits and a better salary. I got three weeks of paid vacation, five sick days, an insurance plan, and on-site parking. The job is on hybrid, which will be much easier on transportation. I worked there for some years. I got to learn and improve quickly. My work got recognized, and I got promoted to a financial director for audit. It was the highest post an accountant could get. I was proud of myself.

Change of Career.

After a lot of thinking, I think that accounting isn't for me. I am still young and should try exploring another field of study. It is better to do something that we love instead of being stuck with something that we dislike. I want to live a happy life and do only the things that I enjoy.

After a long way, I think God decided that it had to come to an end. Unfortunately, I died, but don't worry, I will come back strong in my next life.
