I am in my last year of high school, and I have to apply to go to a college. I have decided to apply to Ahuntsic College and to Montmorency College in the same program, accounting. I got my acceptance letter from both colleges. I had to decide between the two colleges. Ahuntsic College was known for it's bad reputation as a college that accepted everyone, but it was very close to my house. Montmorency College didn't have any bad reputation compared to the other one, but everyone from my high school will be there, and I won't have that much privacy.

I have decided to go to Ahuntsic College. At first, I was kind of lonely since I didn't know anyone but I started to socialize in my classes. I did struggle at first with my classes since I took 9 classes for my first semester which didn't go well, but I later learned time management which helped me focus on my studies more. I started to take 7 classes for each semester and did extra classes during the summer, so I wouldn't be behind. In three years I have finished my studies. I finally graduated. I had to choose between working a full time job and to continue my studies further more to become a CPA.

Montmorency College.

I have decided to go to Montmorency College. At first, everything was going well. I had friends everywhere, so I wasn't left alone for a single minute. We will always go partying and have fun almost every day. It felt like I was actually enjoying life for the first time. Other than the fact that I was always with people I started to realize that I was not focused at all in my studies. I realized a bit too late. Three years already passed, but I didn't pass most of my courses. I just wasted three years to have fun with my friends and do nothing else while everyone that graduated from high a school with us are graduating this summer. I was deeply ashamed of myself. I was brainwashed by my so called friends to just waste my time and money.

Choice 1 : Change.

Become a CPA.

I have decided on becoming a Certified Public Accountant. So, I must go to a university to get a bachelor’s degree in accounting and complete 150 credit hours. It took me three years to get my degree. After, getting my degree, I enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program. It's a program that prepares you for the CPA exam. After completing the program, I did the four parts of the CPA exam. I later got my results for the exams, and I didn't pass all of them. I got very upset with the results. I need to get a 75 on all of the exams and my results weren't even near 75.People around me told me maybe I was putting too much pressure on myself and that I should take a break.Now I'm stuck deciding if I should take a break or retry for the next round for my exams.

Work at full time job.

After graduating from college, I wanted to work as a full-time somewhere. I started to search for jobs on the website Indeed. I saw that Revenue Quebec was hiring, so I applied. A few weeks later, I got a phone call. The HR representative named Sarah told me that I would get an interview with them in four days. Four days later, it was time for my interview. I was nervous the whole day thinking about my interview. It was finally time for the interview. I went there. I was greeted by Sarah. She was very nice to me and brought me to a room to proceed with the interview. She also explained to me how things work around there. During the interview, I got asked so many questions, but I answered properly while still being nervous. After it was done, Sarah explained to me about my wage and my compensation package. Later I was told that I got the job and that's how I went to work for Revenue Quebec.

After realizing what kind of failure I was, I decided it was time for a change, a new start. I have decided to change my college for a fresh new start and not to be disturbed by friends and waste my time.

Take a break.

I have decided to take a break like what my family and friends told me. During this break, I decided I should go volunteer. I saved up enough money to go traveling through a program called Project Abroad. It's a group of people who are volunteering for countries who need help. I decided I wanted to volunteer abroad. I wanted to go to Sri Lanka. I know there are people struggling there, so I wanted to volunteer and gain some new experience by traveling. When I went there, we helped some non-sheltered people get some food and shelter. We helped some kids go to school and bought the supplies they needed. I learned some in-depth knowledge of this country which I was very grateful to learn. I didn't have any problems with my safety there. I had some invaluable experiences there. When I came back here, I felt like I was ready to retake my exams. I learned that trying new things has a purpose because I gained some invaluable understanding. The only disadvantage I had was to pay for the experience, but I gained more advantages from that one disadvantage.

After failing the first time, I have been nervous about redoing my exams. But one thing is that I had an idea how the exams were going to be. I started to analyze the reasons why I might have failed the exams. Was it because I got nervous? Was it because I didn't understand some of the subjects? Was it my revising method? I did not know the reason why I had failed the first time, but I had decided it shouldn't be making me all nervous and feeling anxious. I started to not only focus on things I have to study but also on how to calm myself and be more confident. I started to do some meditation classes and go to the gym to gain some confidence and to learn to control my anxiety. After a while, the time to do my exams came. This time I actually felt ready to do it. Now I just have to wait for the results.

At first, I was happy doing my job since I got the job I wanted. More time has passed, I saw how people who were CPA got a higher position with a higher salary. Even the work load was the same for them and me. It made me want to become one too. I wanted to continue my studies further and get a Bachelor's in accounting to become a CPA. So, I left my job and explained to them my reason for quitting my job, and I started my journey to becoming a CPA.

After waiting for a long time, I finally got my results and I passed all of my exams. I was finally ready to work at a big firm like one of the big fours. I just had to complete a couple of months of accounting work at KPMG, and I was done with my CPA course.

After completing the rest of the training course, I was told I was able to get a job at the KPMG firm I had been training for the past 30 months. I was happy. It's like I put a foot in the door. I got so much on-the-job training. It took me not a long time to learn the ropes. The workers showed me the basics of the job and my CPA mentor taught me everything important for the job. So, I was all ready for the job. They didn't need to hire someone else’s other than me. And, I didn't need to worry about job hunting.

I realized I didn't want to be stuck doing the same thing for the next 30 years of my life. I wanted to enjoy life by traveling around the world and discovering new places. So, I made a plan. I decided to retire earlier than the normal age. My goal was to retire by 40.

For things to happen the way I wanted. I had to start saving up money and to invest. By the way, economics was going. I didn't want to risk putting all of my money in my RRSP and CELI. I had another way of investing in my head. I decided to invest in some incoming property. It's a property that generates income for me by having tenants. And just like I thought, my idea succeeded. I started with only one income property where I was generating more than I needed, which helped me buy a second property. And the amount of property and the money I was making from it was growing more rapidly than I was expecting. In the end, I was making more than a million per year from those properties. To be honest, I was having a hard time controlling everything, but later I hired someone to deal with all the problems related to the properties. By the time I was 35, I realized I had made enough and that I would continue making enough money for the rest of my life without even working. And that's how I retired.

Since I retired, I have gone to so many countries and fulfilled my dream of traveling.

Even after watching everyone graduate, I couldn't stop the party life, which is why I decided not to stop partying ever again, since I had had so much fun from it. I couldn't care how I would end up. I was encouraged by my fake friends to always drink and be drunk. And I have stopped going to school completely.

Since I decided to just party all the time, I became addicted to drinking and drugs and I eventually died of an overdose.

I was happy with my job. I was getting a good salary and compensation. I kept on aiming for a higher position. After working for the company for 10 years, I was hoping to get my manager's position since our current manager will be retiring soon. Everyone was hoping that the company would do the hiring process for the vacant position, but they didn't. They just put the CEQs son for the position. After the disappointment, the workers were hoping that he would at least work properly, but he quickly realized that he didn't even have the proper education.l quickly realized that it was filled with corruption. After this incident, I kinda started to hate working there. I planned to quit my job. I had the choice between working somewhere else or retiring for good.

After I quit my job at KPMG, I decided that it was better to open my own firm because I know for a fact that every company does corruption. To be honest, the process was not that hard. I did have money saved up for emergencies. I used it to pay for a good computer and other necessities that I needed for the job. I leased a small office. I was ready to start the job now.

I was done with setting up my firm. I was doing jobs like taxes, budgeting, bookkeeping and expense management for small business owners like convenience stores and local businesses. I was getting a lot of money, since I didn’t have a problem with getting clients.
