It was time to decide which college I wanted to apply to, I was really anxious and unsure. All of my friends exactly knew where they wanted to go, and I was the only one lost. I talked to many people about my doubts. My parents wanted me to apply to Terrebonne College in business administration. The orientation counselor at my school suggested taking multiple personality quizzes to help me decide. It really helped me. After spending hours researching and taking quizzes, I knew that I wanted to work in the business. I didn’t know which school to apply to. Should I choose Dawson College or Ahuntsic College?

Choice 1 : Dawson college.

Dawson college.

I chose Dawson College. Through my 3 years of studying, I learned a lot of things about my field and I would always have straight A’s. Unfortunately, overtime school was tiring, and I really wanted to quit because of my finance class. Dawson College was pretty far from my house, and I was in the transports for almost 3 hours a day. I had to wake up at 5 in the morning every single morning. I was exhausted. I started doubting about going to university or not. I really needed a break. Should I go to university or should I go travel around the world for a year?

Ahuntsic college.

I chose Ahuntsic College. The school was 25 minutes away from my house which made my 3 years there much easier. The teachers were lovely and the students in my program were very smart. In my last session, I had a crucial decision to make for my future. After my graduation, should I travel around the world or should I go to university?

Travel the world.

It was the best moment to travel. In fact, I had a lot of money saved because I’ve been working a lot during school, and I finally had time ahead of me to do such things. I immediately booked a one-way flight to Bali to connect with accountants that are known worldwide. I booked a night at the closest hotel when I arrived. I’ve made many connections there. One of them suggested going France with his family, but I started to miss mine who stayed in Canada. Should I go to France or should I come back to Canada?

Go to university.

I chose to go to Concordia University to have a premium wage when I retire. School was hard. I had a lot of projects and evaluations. I was having multiple sleepless nights to study. Through my years of studying, I had an OJT to become an accountant. My trainee was a successful accountant in town. I had a lack of organisation. I was mentally exhausted and overwhelmed by the constant pressure. I started questioning my decisions and wondering what the future held for me. Should I drop out of school or should I continue and graduate?

Return to Canada.

I was missing my family so badly that I decided to set aside my adventure. I was extremely happy to find my friends, my parents, my siblings and my dog. The day of my come back, I went to the restaurant with my cousins. One of them was a gambler. He told me something about betting money to win $20 000. He needed $10 000 to do this bet. He promised me that it was totally safe and that we will win the prize. Should I go to the casino or should I go home?

When I arrived in France, I immediately regretted it… An issue happened with the friend who was supposed to stay with me for the time I was staying in France. He left me alone in a country where I didn’t know anyone and had nothing. For the first 3 days, I had to sleep on the streets. I should’ve gone back to Canada.

Drop out of school.

It was a terrible idea because my parents kicked me out of the house for dropping out of school. They did many sacrifices for me and were disappointed. I became homeless and developed a drug addiction… My friends cut me off, and I was alone for the rest of my life.

I finally graduated from Concordia University. I became an accountant and already had many contracts with big companies. My family and I was extremely proud of myself. The ceremony was beautiful and I took multiple pictures. I posted them on my Instagram page and my parents on their Facebook. To celebrate my accomplishment and my successful journey, should I go to a party or should I go to a restaurant?

I had a great time with my loved ones, but I was excited to go home to relax. While cleaning my room, I was watching a movie about an accountant who created a business in his twenties. It gave me the idea to create mine, but I was also looking for a job to gain experience. Should I start my own business or should I find a new job?

Go to the casino.

It has been a really long time since I’ve seen my cousin, so I chose to go with him. We drove 30 minutes to go there. When we arrived, I followed him all the way to the game he wanted to do. I gave him my card, and he started the bet. I saw the owner of the casino in the corner of the room. I went to talk to him. We talked for two hours, and he offered me a job. He asked me to join his team as the director of the finance department. Should I accept the job offer or should I go home?

Go to a party.

Obviously, I chose to go to a party with all of my friends. It was crazy! We played drinking games, and I got to meet a popular influencer. I introduced myself, and we started talking about our interests. We’ve spoken about budgeting, entrepreneurship, globalization, and more... He suggested starting an e-commerce business. He said that he could be my coach to help me create a successful electronic business. Should I choose him as a coach or should I pass my turn?

We went to a fancy restaurant called La Cucina de Pepe. It was the best place to go to because I was the accountant for the owner. The decor was majestic. I took multiple pictures for my Instagram profile. I should’ve never went there because I had an allergic reaction to my plate. In fact, there was a mushroom in my food and I’m allergic to them….

Choose him as a coach.

Because of his influence on the internet, I decided to choose him as a coach. He wanted me to pay him $2000 per month. He said that it would be better to immediately pay him for the whole year to have $5000 off. I transferred him $19 000$. He told me that I was in good hands, and that I would become rich in the next 3 months. The next day, we were supposed to have an online meeting to start the creation of the brand and the website. I’ve found that he blocked me everywhere. I soon realized that I got scammed.

I decided to pass my turn and to do it by myself. I decided to sell cameras because it had a high demands in the market. I needed to find a market penetration method, a good marketing strategy and a great value-chain. I didn’t have enough money to finance this entrepreneur project, that I started thinking about getting a business partner. Should I find a partner or should I stay by myself?

Accept the job offer.

I went to see the casino’s owner on the next Monday. We signed a contract, and Tuesday was my first day. On the first day, the dynamic was really weird and uncomfortable. Every day was repetitive. I decided to stay because of my salary, but working there made me realize that I hated finances. I should’ve created my own company. Should I start my own company or should I find a new job?

I chose to find another job. I went to see the manager of a successful brand. They had a job offer for the Human Ressources department. I decided to take the job opportunity, and I became the director of the HR department. My salary wasn’t that high, but I loved my job. I had to create a campaign for the new product the company launched. My boss wanted to make more sales and boost the profit margin. Unfortunately, the publicity I made failed. The company lost a lot of money and I got kicked out of the job.

I chose to start a company. I used the skills I have learned during my years in college to put my company on the next level. I loved to swim, so I decided to create a water park. I was so excited to open the park for the public. On the first day, a customer slipped on the floor and broke his neck. He went straight to the hospital and the situation made me make fewer sales because no one wanted to come anymore. I had to close my business.

Stay by myself.

I decided to stay by myself to have peace. My calendar was really charged. I had no days-off, and I started regretting getting into business. I was managing everything. I got exhausted of all of this, and thought about selling my stocks to a franchisee to find a new job. When I launched my product, I made no profit. Should I go find a new job or should I find a partner to help me?

I asked my cousin, who had been a marketing director for Nike. He was known worldwide for all his amazing campaigns and publicity. The company became a partnership. Unfortunately, my cousin decided to steal all the money saved up for the business. He used it to move to Mexico. I had no money left and had to declare bankruptcy.
