The story of my life.

Graduating from Ahuntsic College in Police Technology.

After graduating, different options are available to me. I’ve always wanted to become a police officer, and I’ve felt that way since I was 8 years old. However, I also know very well that my passion for aquariums, aquatic animals, and everything related to underwater life has fascinated me from a very young age. On the other hand, I know that my passion for food will never fade, and my favorite cuisine by far is Asian food. I’ve always loved this cuisine, with an incredible variety of possibilities. Anything is possible, which is why I would also love to open my own Asian restaurant.

Choice 1 : Go to ENPQ.

Choice 2 : Work in an aquarium in Quebec City.

Choice 3 : Open your own Asian restaurant in Laval.

Graduation

Work in an aquarium in Quebec City.

Working at an aquarium in Quebec has always been something crazy that I had trouble imagining. My passion for marine animals, marine diversity, and the oceans has always been present, but more like just any other passion. Now, I see that I can work for something that has always inspired me. The choices available to me are simple: be a dolphin show host, to entertain crowds as impressed as I am by the animal in front of them. Or, I could manage a team of employees since I am skilled at team management.

Choice 1 : Apply to become a manager.

Choice 2 : Dolphins show host.

A place in the aquarium.

Go to the Aquarium to become a manager.

When you are a manager at the Aquarium, you work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You have no possibility of moving higher since you do not have a degree in business management. You stay in this position for the rest of your life until you decide to retire 30 years later.

Choice 1 : Start again.

Manager of the employee in the aquarium.

Be a Dolphins show host.

Being a dolphin shows host allowed me to discover a passion for marine animals. I was an outstanding host and never missed a single show. Marine animals truly became a passion for me. I worked as a dolphin show host for five and a half years. Now, for the future, I am thinking about going back to school to study marine biology.

Choice 1 : Going to university to study marine biology.

Choice 2 : Staying a dolphin shows host.

Dolphin show host.

Go to ENPQ.

Attending the National Police School has always been a distinct goal in my life. I’ve always seen this place as the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. That’s exactly the case now. I can now become a police officer, as I’ve always wanted. I have two options available to me: either the Surete du Quebec or the Montreal Police Service.

Choice 1 : Become a police officer in the Sureté du Quebec.

Choice 2 : Go to SPVM.

ENPQ.

Become a police officer in the Sureté du Quebec.

The SQ has always been a police force that interests me. Ever since I was young, the police officers patrolling in my area have all been from this force. For me, the choice was simple: I wanted to join them in turn. Now, my goal would be to climb the ranks, either as a Captain or an Inspector. Obviously, this is no easy task, because many people aspire to these positions. They are sought after for many reasons, such as the favorable status or the salary.

Choice 1 : Being a Captain in the SQ.

Choice 2 : Being an Inspector in the SQ.

Surete of Quebec.

Open your own Asian restaurant in Laval.

Opening a restaurant is a great accomplishment for me. It’s probably something I would have thought of doing in another life or when I was older and retired from another job. Now that it’s done, and I’m still young enough to enjoy it myself, I’m proud. I’d really like to grow it and open another restaurant elsewhere. The only problem is that I don’t know which cities would be the best fit. I need to make the right choice because running a restaurant is expensive, and I can’t afford to cover financial losses.

Choice 1 : Open a restaurant in Sherbrooke.

Choice 2 : Open a restaurant in St-Sauveur.

In the Asian restaurant.

Go to SPVM.

Joining the SPVM is quite a logical choice. The large metropolis of Montreal offers a wealth of experiences for any young police officer starting out. For me, being hired in this city opens up endless possibilities. My first option would be to try to become a K-9 handler for the city of Montreal, a career that offers a multitude of opportunities. Another option would be to become an investigator specializing in arson cases. Experts in criminal arson play a vital role in investigations.

Choice 1 : Be a K-9 handler.

Choice 2 : Be an expert in criminal arson.

SPVM's car.

Going to university to study marine biology.

After applying for marine Biology at university, I realized that this path might not be the right one for me. In fact, during the application process, I was put on the waiting list for five universities in the marine Biology program. Moreover, the program lasts three years just for a bachelor's degree, and I’m not ready to go back to school.

Staying a dolphin shows host.

Being a dolphin shows host is something I really enjoy. I've always loved animals, especially marine animals. I tell myself that, for a few more years, I want to stay with these animals: the dolphins. I don’t plan to stay in this job for my entire life, but for now, I really like my life here. I know that later on, I can always make a career change; after all, I do have a college diploma.

Being a Captain in the SQ.

Being a captain at the SQ is a role that comes with a lot of responsibility. This position offers a career path for many police officers. I would like to be one of those officers for whom this path is a concrete and decisive career choice. The SQ is an exceptional police force with many opportunities and experiences. I am ready to take on these responsibilities and tasks and carry them out successfully. After a good amount of time as a captain, I think the choice is clear for me: it's time to move forward. I now want to apply to become an inspector.

Open a restaurant in Sherbrooke.

Opening a restaurant has always been one of my biggest dreams. Now that I’ve opened a restaurant in Sherbrooke, I feel like I’ve accomplished one of my life goals. However, I’m not sure if this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Managing a restaurant is a huge responsibility, it involves handling orders, training staff on the floor, hiring employees, obtaining permits, and so much more. I’m someone full of surprises, and I believe other amazing opportunities are waiting for me. The best option for me might be to sell my franchise.

Choice 1 : Start again.

City of Sherbrooke.

Open a restaurant in St-Sauveur.

Opening a restaurant in Saint-Sauveur is a smart move because it’s a popular and bustling area. Both in in the summer and winter, the village of Saint-Sauveur is brought to life by its shops, restaurants, and vibrant social scene. The atmosphere is amazing. Unfortunately, when I opened the restaurant, members of the Hells Angels decided to demand a cut of my profits. They made it clear that without payment, something bad could happen to my restaurant. I cannot handle this kind of pressure, especially from members of organized crime. I’ve decided to close my restaurant.

Be a K-9 handler.

Being a dog handler is something very demanding. Despite that, I worked hard to get to where I am now. I love my dog, I love my job, and every day brings something new. One thing is certain this job is anything but routine. I learn a lot from more experienced dog handlers. I truly love this work with all my heart and hope to go far. In the future, after several years in the field, I see myself either giving back by teaching at the ENPQ or fully retiring from the SPVM.

Choice 1 : Teaching at the ENPQ.

Choice 2 : Being retired from the SPVM.

K-9 handler.

Be an expert in criminal arson.

Working as an arson expert is complex, but so rewarding. I know this job will allow me to help many people get answers to their questions. This career brings me great fulfillment, and I am proud to provide answers to victims. After working alongside extraordinary people for many years, I could teach this wonderful profession at the ENPQ. This option would allow me to give back to others while training the arson investigators of the future. The other option would be to retire from the SPVM and enjoy free time with my family and friends.

Choice 2 : Being retired from the SPVM.

Being retired from the SQ.

The SQ has been like a family to me. Some of the most significant moments of my life happened surrounded by the best people I’ve ever met in this police service. I loved working for this great police force. I gave my heart and soul to serve and protect the public, as my oath required of me. Now, I want to move on to a new chapter in my life: police training. I want to give back and contribute to shaping the next generation of police officers. Therefore, I will begin teaching at the ENPQ.

Choice 1 : Teaching at the ENPQ.

Teaching at the ENPQ.

Teaching at the ENPQ is one of the greatest benefits of being a police officer. I love being able to give back, and what better way to do so than by contributing to the future generation of police officers in Quebec. I think that after this step, I will be able to say that I’ve come full circle. This work has always been a passion for me, and I know it will remain so for the rest of my days.
