I decided to study Police Technology at Ahuntsic College. I immediately fell in love with the program and the job I was aspiring to do. I did some internships to learn the ropes of this beautiful job. It came in really handy because it helped me understand better in my courses and I had straight A's. After three years in college, it is now time to choose the city where I want to work. I'm hesitating between the calmness of Blainville or the action of Laval. Help me decide where should I go.

I decided to choose to continue my studies in the field of law. I had to move from my parent's house because university was too far. The program was really tough and my time management was not good. I had to put aside my friends and family, so I could concentrate on the homework I had. This choice had a lot of disadvantage, and I was not my happiest but at the same time I really loved the job itself. I need to choose whether I want to continue studying the law or I want to change and become a police officer. What should I do?

I chose to work for Laval city. I thought it could help me get the best experience I could, to become the best officer. The staff looked very welcoming and my boss gave me the opportunity to choose who my partner is going to be. He gave me two options of mentor that was going to train me. The first one is Philippe, an older man nearing his retirement but has a lot of experience, and the second one is Kalya, a woman two years older than me that is really friendly.

I decided to work for the city of Blainville to start my career softly. There are fewer calls and fewer crimes, so it's calmer than the big cities. I don't feel pressured when I don't know an answer. I hesitate between specializing in sexual crimes or specializing in narcotics. What should I choose?

I decided to follow a formation and specialize in sexual crime. At first, I loved it, but after six years, the cases started to haunt my night. I did a severe depression. I need to prioritize my physical and mental health. I need to quit this job, it is too much for me.

I decided to specialize in narcotics. It was a really fun experience since I became really good at establishing a bond of trust with suspects in order to extract confessions. After only one year, my boss offered me a job with a bonus salary. He offered me to become an undercover agent. I am a little bit scared of what could happen since I will be with all kind of dangerous people. Should I take the job?

I decided to refuse the job. After a few years, I felt like I wasn't improving anymore. The job was somehow really demanding, because I was doing a lot of overtime. I talked to my colleagues about it, and they suggest applying in K9 since I love dogs, and I gained a lot of knowledge in the narcotics' field. Should I do it?

To not disappoint my superior, I continued the operation even though I was recipient of sexual harassment. One day, the flirtation became too much, and I decided to confront the perpetrator. He didn't like the way I spoke to him, so he killed me.

I decided to let him go. I didn't felt good about my decision at all, so I explained the situation to one of my colleagues. She went to our sergeant to denounce Kalya but the sergeant decided to fire both of us since it is a criminal offense, and we should never have let the guy go.

I didn't let the threats of my partner influence my judgment. I would never let this man go, and risks that he provokes an accident with innocents that could get injured. I arrested him and brought him back to the station. I was really concerned on how my colleagues were going to act with me. My sergeant met me in his office the day after, and he thanked me for my good job. He knew that I had a tough choice to do, but I took the right decision. I was nominated ''employee of the month'', and he gave me a better salary. I continue working a few years, and I retired to spend more time with my family.

I decided to quit the operation and go back into the routine of the investigation. After six months back into the office, I had a case with a guy I used to work with when I did the operation. He found out I was an undercover, and he decided to shoot me in the stomach. I was forced into a leave of absence and received a compensation for the months of rehabilitation.

I decided to finish my career in the narcotics' investigation. Since my retirement was coming fast, I told myself that it was too late to start another specialty, so I set aside this idea. I had a really good career, and I am beyond grateful for the experience I gained in this job.
