Difficult career choice at the end of High school.

I just finished High school, and I have accumulated very good grades that gives me the possibility to chose whatever career I want to pursue. I have a difficult choice to make, either to apply in Police Technology or to apply to the Fire School (IPIQ). Both are jobs that have attracted me since I was very young, so the choice is difficult.

Choice 1 : Police Technology studies.

I finally made my choice, and decided to go with my guts and choose Police Technology. I am currently working very hard and getting really good grades. I learned that college can be really hard especially if you are not prepared, so I shifted my whole focus around school to get the best grades possible. I finally finished all of my semesters without failing a class, and I am ready to complete my training to become a police officer.

You decided to pursue a career as a firefighter. It's been 6 months since you've started school to become a firefighter, and you are starting to see the ins-and-outs of the job and maybe think this job isn't for you. You think that maybe you should've stayed with your guts and choose to become a police officer, since it was your dream from a young age. You decide to go back to your main idea and go to college to start in Police Technology.

You decide to join the GRC because you heard a lot about pros and cons of the job. You are deployed in the far North and after 2 years you don't like your job anymore because it's boring, and they are not many crimes where you are and the days are very long just giving tickets. You then decide to go to the National Police School.

You just arrived at the National Police School for the 15 week formation. At first, you are overwhelmed by the difficulty of the training, but you then find a rhythm, and you are now getting straight A's, because you are studying real hard, and you want to be one of the top students coming out of the program, and it came true, because with one week left, you are in the top 25 of the best students. The SPVM and the SQ wants you to join their services, so you now have to make a difficult choice.

You just got hired at Montreal and you couldn't be happier. Your starting to do your on-the-job-training in your first week, and you are starting to learn the ropes of the job. After a few weeks, you realized that you don't really like working in Montreal because of all the negativity you see on a daily basis, so you decide to give the SQ a chance.

After quitting the SPVM, you just entered the SQ rank, and you are welcomed by a really great group of police officers that are quickly becoming your friends. After 2 years, you still love this job with all of your hearts and each day you are happy to go to work. One day, your boss comes to see you to talk about all of the great work you've been doing, and he offers you two different positions. The first one, is to become a police investigator and the second one is to become the chief of the highway patrol.

You decide to take the offer to become the chief of the highway patrol because you thought it would be a cool job with a lot of upsides. You then realise that you were wrong and that the job is really boring because you are not doing a lot in your day except giving tickets, so you then decide to go back to the previous offer to become a police investigator.

You finally became an investigator at the SQ and you realize that you did very well to choose this position because of the many upsides that the position offers such as a premium wage, overtime, an improved pension and a flexible schedule. The job is way more interesting then your previous one, and you finally found the job you would like to keep for the rest of your career. One day, you receive a call for someone who was missing for a week. You are not sure if you should wait for some backups or just enter the house since no one is responding at the address that you were given.

You decide to enter the house alone, since you are now familiar with the job and, you think this is similar to the many cases you've done in your career. When you enter the house alone, you immediately smell a horrible sent, and directly when you walk through the first door, you see a dead man decapitated on the ground.

You are disgusted with the scene you just witnessed and decide that you will find whoever did this atrocious crime. You work day and night to find the person who decapitated the men. After months and months of investigating, you find out the killer is a nationally wanted criminal who is on the run since 2 years ago. This case now become your number one priority, and you work with many police services to find the wanted criminal. After weeks of searching you finally got a clue about where the guy is and immediately call on your radio for backups to the location. You finally found the criminal in a basement with all the evidence of everybody he killed, such as the case you discovered. You become a highly graded police investigator after cracking one of the biggest cases of the decade.

After seeing the horrendous crime scene, you then take a leave of absence to go spend time with your family and a break from the job. After talking with your wife, you decided that you had enough of seeing horrible crime scene and that it was starting to get to you mentally. You had a long career as a police officer serving the province and your boss is fully behind you for your retirement. You have a full pension and all the overtime you worked over your career really helped you. You are thankful for your career and all the amazing moments and memories you made.

After this case, you finally decided to call it a career and retire from the police force after many years serving as a police officer. You had an amazing career with many upsides, but also some downs, but you are really happy and satisfied with the career you had. You couldn't have asked for a better job but you are now happy to go spend some time with your family and friends.

You wait for the backup unit and when they arrived, you enter the house to see a horrendous crime scene with a man decapitated lying on the ground. You decide to search for the men who did this horrible crime and not stop until he is found.
