Jamaica

Take 5 courses and try out for the volleyball team.

You are trying out for the volleyball team and the coach selects you to be a part of the team. Unfortunately, you feel overwhelmed, being on the team and having 5 courses all at the same time is too much stress for you. You are failing one course and decided to drop your psychology class. You now have a 2.0 GPA, and it is not enough to stay in the Psychology program.

Choice 1 : You failed start again.

Volleyball team

Take 4 courses and try out for the cheerleader team.

Congratulations you are accepted to the cheerleader team! Your two best friends are also accepted to be a part of the cheerleader team. Because you took 4 courses, you have enough time to concentrate in class and your sport. Since it's the beginning of school, some students are throwing a welcome party but on the other hand, you already have a big exam rate for 30% of your session the day after the party. This party is the perfect opportunity to make more connections with people in your program but the first exam is also the best way to start your session on a good grade.

Choice 1 : Go to the party.

Choice 2 : Stay home and study with your two best friends.

Cheerleader team

Go to the party.

You're having an amazing time at the party and since you are a part of the cheerleaders team it is easier for you to meet new people and to open up. Unfortunately, the time is passing fast, and it's already 3 am. You now have to stay and sleep over. The next morning, you woke up late and arrive in the middle of your exam. You can't finish your exam and have a score of 20%.

Choice 1 : You failed your exam start again

Fortunately, they only give the owner of the house a minor offense. The party is too far from your house, and you have all been drinking so you and your friends decide to take an Uber to a girl on the cheerleader team who lives close by. The next morning you are so hungover that you can't take the test.

Choice 1 : You missed your exam start again

Hungover

Choose an internship with a sports psychologist.

This is a good choice for you since you know the world of sports and how it works. Being on the cheerleader team helps you understand your patients on a deeper level. You feel that you are in the right place and decide to specialize your psychological practice with athletes. You worked thoroughly during your two years of internship and now have your psychologist's degree. You are very proud of yourself, and you want to apply for a job right away, where do you apply?

Choice 1 : Apply in a private clinic.

Choice 2 : Apply at a college.

Sport psychologist

Choose an internship with an Industrial-Organizational psychologist.

This internship is teaching you a lot of things nevertheless, it is not what you want to do. Design programs to improve leadership or helping companies with strategies aren't things that make you want to become a psychologist on opposite it deters you from the office. This internship discourages you, so you don't make any effort and fail your last classes.

Choice 1 : Start again

Industrial-Organizational psychologist

Apply in a private clinic.

One week after you applied, the HR enraged an interview. Because you came prepared and confident to your interview it went well, and you got the job. Today is your first day of work but something seems off, your boss is very demanding and your colleagues are withholding a lot of information that could help you since it's your first day at the clinic. After one month of working here, you decide to resign because of the toxic environment. You realize that your colleagues care more about making money than the actual needs of their patients. You don't want to be associated with this kind of behavior, so you search for another job.

Choice 1 : Wrong choice start again

Private clinic

Apply at a college.

One week after you applied, the HR enraged an interview. Because you came prepared and confident to your interview it went well, and you got the job. Today is your first day in the school and your coworkers are very welcoming, the same day, you are meeting the sports teams with whom you are going to work throughout the year. They all are very thrilled to have a new psychologist and are already ready to work with you. This job is all you ever wanted, you even have a premium wage. You like it so much that you are planning to work as a sports psychologist until your retirement.

Choice 1 : The end. Try a knew path

College sports psychologist

Live on the campus.

The campus is literally 5 minutes away from the university, so you walk to go to class every day and because you always have a pile of work to do, you stay at the library of the university until 11 pm. You then proceed to walk back to the campus to sleep. Since entering into the doctorate in psychology is hard, your good time management and the proximity to the university are helping you maintain straight A's. After 8 years of university, and two years of internship you now have your PhD, and you can start practicing psychology full-time. You are very lucky because you already have a job in the clinic where you had your last internship. The director of the clinic liked you so much that he decided to wait until you have your diploma to offer you a job with a compensation package. Today marks your first day as a psychologist, and no longer as an intern anymore. As you prepare for the first patient of your day, what do you want to do first?

Choice 1 : Read your patient file.

Choice 2 : Start your seance with your patient right away.

Campus

Live 30 minutes away from the university.

You currently live in an apartment that is 30 minutes away from school, but getting to class on time is challenging because you have to wake up early. Also, the traffic is sometimes so dense that it can take you one to two hours to arrive at the university. This schedule is not healthy for you, you are overwhelmed because of the long journey and the intensity of the work that you have to do.

Choice 1 : Start again

Apartment

Read your patient file.

Reading the file of your patient before having the therapy with him or her helps you get into the mood of the therapy. Therapies are unpredictable but at least you are preparing yourself by learning the medical history and other basis of the life of the patient. Now that you've read the file you are ready to welcome your first patient into the office. With what approach do you start the seance?

Choice 1 : Start the seance with a series of questions.

Choice 2 : Let your patient express his/her feelings.

Patient file

Start your therapy seance with your patient right away.

You decide to start the therapy session now, but you are not ready because you did not take the time to put yourself into the therapy mood. Moreover, you haven't read the file of your patient, so you don't know that your patient gave birth one week ago and that is causing her to be more emotional. During the session, you lack emphatic listening, and you use the wrong behavioral approach for the situation. At the end of the seance, you diagnose her with bipolar disorder when in fact she has postpartum depression. You were too distracted by the phenomena of centration, so you didn't pay attention to the feelings and emotions she was trying to share with you.

Choice 1 : Your patient never came back start again

Seance

Start the seance with a series of questions.

Starting with a series of questions is not the best approach with this patient since she as anxiety. She needs reassurance to feel comfortable. During the seance, she is not able to be herself and because of the stress she has memory lost, and she forgets important elements of her stories that make her stories difficult to follow.

Choice 1 : Your patient didn't feel the connection between you and her she decided to find another psychologist. Start again

Therapy

Let your patient express herself.

During the consultation, you decide to let your patient express herself and opt for emphatic listening. You help her develop her self-awareness by guiding her to understand her own mental process, and you observe that the more the consultation comes to an end more her self-esteem grows. She becomes more comfortable with you throughout the session. The seance has now come to an end, and she is very satisfied with your psychological practice. You now have a loyal patient but since you did a really good job with her she doesn't need your services anymore but that's great new! She is so satisfied with your work that she has recommended you to every person she knows.

Choice 1 : You are improving a lot and making new connections. The end. Try again.
