I stood in the hallway after graduation, holding two letters and feeling completely stuck. One was for an HR program. I imagined myself was working in administration, helping employees, managing hiring, and building compensation packages with a steady salary, benefits, and pensions. It felt safe and stable. The other letter was for physiotherapy. That path felt more active and personal. I pictured myself helping people recover, moving around all day instead of sitting behind a desk. I had done so much to get both opportunities, but I still didn’t know what I really wanted. My future felted like it was balancing in my hands. There was also a choice that I could that one year off and enjoy life.

Choice 1 : Working in administration

Choice 2 : Physiotherapist.

Choice 3 : Take a year off.

Work in administration.

To work in administration, I had two choice. I could go with Social Science or in a DEP. The DEP would lead me early into the workplace, and I would start my career early on. The Social Science choice would lead me into the same path but the University would be the only path. The advantage of this choice is that if ever I want to change career, I would be able to.

This DEP only takes 3 years and I just have to pull off a passing grade to succeed. My life quality would be amazing since my work load would be minimum. I would spend my time enjoying life and playing my favorite sports.

I succeed the program, get a job and live happy all my life. This option would offer me a confortable lifstyle with a good salary.

I choose to party all the time. I did not focus on my study. This made me fail the program, and I lost interest in school. I started to work for the city even if I did not have a diploma.

I chose to apply in college in Social Science in the admin program, so I could learn the basic of this world.

After my program at college, I continue my path and go to the university. I make new friends and my career is on the verge of beginning. My family is proud of me, and I succeed my path. The next step is to find a job and make a living.

While in college, I begin to think at a new option to work in the future. I am very lucky because the college path makes me a candidate for this new option. I finish my college degree, and I go to the university in my new path.

Physiotherapist.

Choosing to become a physiotherapist feels like the right decision for me. I’ve always been interested in how the human body works, but what really made me choose this path is the idea of helping people recover and feel better in their daily lives. Physiotherapists don’t just treat injuries, they support people through difficult moments and help them regain their independence, which I find really meaningful. I know this choice also comes with challenges. To be accepted into a physiotherapy program, I need to succeed in the Science de la nature program. That means working hard and getting good grades in courses like biology, chemistry, and physics. It’s not always easy, but I understand why it’s important. These subjects are the foundation for everything I’ll need to know later. Sometimes, it feels stressful knowing how competitive the program is, but it also motivates me to stay focused. This isn’t just a random idea, it’s something I truly want to achieve. By putting in the effort now, I’m giving myself the best chance to reach my goal. Becoming a physiotherapist is a long journey, but it’s one I’ve chosen for a reason.

Because of the choice I made, I know I have to work harder to reach my goals. It pushes me to stay focused and do my best in school. Getting good grades isn’t always easy, but it’s part of the path I chose and something I’m committed to.

Because of the stress of working so hard I have difficulty sleeping, and I become less happy. My relationship with my parent is not perfect.

During my academic journey, I consistently maintained straight A’s by demonstrating strong time management skills and a thorough approach to every task. Although balancing multiple responsibilities was sometimes maddening, I learned to stay focused and thoughtful rather than doing only cursory work. Even though challenges occasionally required me to put aside personal activities, I was able to pull off important projects successfully. By staying organized and motivated, I kept pulling it off semester after the semester, proving that I could handle pressure while maintaining high standards. I believe these qualities will help me succeed in an administration internship and contribute positively to the workplace.

While playing hockey, I injure myself, and I miss class, so it is getting harder to have good grades and my moral is at its lowest .

All the class I miss are too much to continue my session and I give up the class that I am in, so I will have to do them again.

Taking a year offs to explore is an option I can choose if I feel I need more time before continuing my studies. It gives me the chance to step back and think about my future in a more personal way. Instead of following a set path right away, I can take time to discover new interests and gain different experiences. During this year, I could work, travel, or try new activities that help me grow as a person. It would allow me to become more independent and learn things that aren’t taught in school. This experience could also help me better understand if my goal of becoming a physiotherapist is truly the right choice for me. Even though it’s a break from school, it’s still a meaningful step. I would need to stay responsible and making sure I use my time well. Taking a year off is not about falling behind, but about moving forward in a way that feels right for me and my future.

Choosing to go on an internship for a year is a decision I can make to be sure I am on the right path. Instead of continuing my studies right away, this experience would allow me to see what the career is really like in everyday life. I could learn directly in a professional environment, develop new skills, and better understand my interests. It would also help me confirm if this field truly suits me. Taking this time is not a delay, but a way to make a more confident and informed choice about my future.

I am very interested in completing an internship in physiotherapy because it would give me valuable on-the-job-training and a real opportunity to learn the ropes in a professional environment. As an intern, I would be motivated to observe experienced physiotherapists and apply the knowledge I have gained through my studies. I believe this internship would help me get my foot in the door in the healthcare field while allowing me to develop practical skills that will come in handy throughout my future career. Although adapting to a busy clinic environment may feel overwhelming at first, I am eager to challenge myself, continue learning the ropes, and gain meaningful experience through this opportunity.
