Choose a higher education field.

It was the end of high school, and I was not sure what to do next. Nevertheless, two choices were available to me.

Choice 1 : Go to Ahuntsic College and study criminology, in a technique program.

Choice 2 : Go to cegep Marie Victorin and study Social Science courses.

You chose to go to Ahuntsic College and study criminology in a technique. The themes and patterns you learned were fascinating and the fact that there was always more to learn, did enlighten you on the fact that you desired to discover more. You liked your program, and it allowed you to explore subjects that were unknown to you before. It led you after all, to think about stopping your studies there and explore further.

Choice 1 : Volunteer abroad in Italy.

Choice 2 : Go to Concordia University and study Philosophy.

Go to cegep Marie Victorin and study Social Science courses.

You chose to go to Cegep Marie Victorin and study Social Sciences courses and studying a pre-university program, as general and varied as Social Sciences, led you to discover a new academic opportunity: making business contacts by making lots of friends and keeping in contact with teachers. Although you felt like you were wasting your time and money because it was not leading you right away to a career, it did give you the freedom to be able to do whatever you wanted to do, as you were stepping each foot closer and further to your future.

Volunteer abroad in Italy.

You chose to volunteer abroad in Italy, which led to you learning a third language: Italian! You are able to talk fluently to people, as you are working at the beach, cleaning it. You enjoyed the weather and people were welcoming, which resulted in you making friends whenever you were not working. Each morning, as you clocked in for work, you were given one pair of cheap plastic gloves to pick up trash, and you had to tough them out for your whole shift, since your boss did not allow anyone to take another pair. The problem is that eventually, during the day, they would break and one day as you were volunteering you felt very sick, and you fainted. The friends you made there happened to be around you when it occurred, and they brought you to the nearest local hospital. Turns out, you have a bacterial virus, which could kill you! Thankfully, you flirted with a beautiful woman, a few days ago, as she was relaxing at the beach, and she ended being your doctor. You made such an impression that she paid your medical bill and gave you everything you needed to recover, safe and sound. Thank God! What next?

Choice 1 : Get an internship in Italy.

Go to Concordia University and study Philosophy.

College was not easy but you made it! You chose to go to Concordia University and study philosophy, and it led you to be the recipient of alienation from your classmates. They found existential questions fun, debatable and relative but you alone in your corner, you got sucked up into a never-ending loop of self-doubt and anxiety. You ended up having a burn out and quit University all together after that, not seeking any higher majors.

Choice 1 : You end up as a broke astrologer.

Get an internship in Italy.

You go to Italy and instantly fall in love with the country and its people. You decided then, to contribute in protecting them by applying for an internship, related to the criminology studies you did a while back. You chose an internship and got in, which led to getting mixed up in workplace corruption, at the most famous criminology editing company of Italy. You talked with your new colleagues while receiving on the Job Training and you soon found out the editing house was affiliated with the criminals of the area! What a drawback it is for you! You never thought there would be a day when you would be forced to learn the ropes, playing for the opposite team. You got hired at this place, not long after your internship, not that it was much of your choice to begin with, since you were constantly threatened and blackmailed by them. You knew talking to HR was useless since they were sucked up in the whole thing. If you were to speak up, as an intern or an employee, you would get harmed, so this idea was not up for a test drive of any sort.

Choice 1 : Retirement, back in Quebec.

You end up as a broke astrologer.

Those philosophy courses drove you crazy but do not worry, it led you to discover a field that provides answers: astrology. Yes, you heard that correctly. You are now a popular professional astrologer, and you give people around you and around the world, through the internet astrological birth chart readings to help these people understand themselves better and guide them towards a life that speaks to them. You feel accomplished doing this work and you do so for years, until you reach the age of 65 years old and decide to retire for good. You get a pension and end up in a retirement home, making friends with the other elders depending on their sign.

Retirement, back in Quebec.

You did what they asked, for years, until you were able to retire, with the money you set aside. You go back to Quebec, where you buy a house, and the positive sides of playing in the villain's team is that you were able to get rid of your mortgage quickly, with the money you accumulated. You were able to finally sit down, relax and breathe without the feeling of being alienated : the beauty of retirement. You can now enjoy life, have a pension, adopt old dogs in a local shelter and drink tea instead of an espresso. Although you must admit, you did not miss the amount of snow there is here during the winter.
