After high school what do I do?

I just finish high school, and I don't know what to choose between go to IPIQ to become a firefighter or go to Ahuntsic College in Police Technology.

Choice 1 : Go to Ahuntsic College in Police Technology.

Choice 2 : Go to IPIQ to become a firefighter.

I chose to go to Ahuntsic College, and now I have to pass some physical tests. Should I workout to pass the physical tests, or I go out and party because high school is finished, and I am finally free.

Go to IPIQ to become a firefighter.

I chose to go to IPIQ, and now I need to pass the physical tests. Should I go to the gym and train for it, or I don't because I already have a great physical condition.

Workout and train for the tests.

I did workout for the tests, so I am able to to pass it. I have to wait for the semester to start in Police Technology at the end of summer, should I work at a dead-end job all summer or should I find a job in this field of study, like an internship to prepare me for Police Technology.

Go party because high school is finish.

I decide to party, I fail the tests because I was not prepared. Try again!

Train for the tests.

I train 5 times a week in the gym to be fully prepare for the tests. It is now time for the tests, I know I can do it because I train hard for it. Unfortunately, I injure myself during, because I over train so my body was tired and couldn't follow. I didn't have the choice, I stop the tests. Too bad, try again.

Not train enough for the tests.

I did not train enough, I think I already have a good shape to pass the tests. It is now time to go for the tests, I wish I'm going to pass it without difficulty. I didn't pass the tests because of that, I need to train more. Too bad, try again.

I fail the tests because I chose to party instead of prepare for the tests. Now I don't know what I am going to do of my life. Try again!

Work at a dead-end job all summer.

I work at the dead-end job all summer, and now I'm not motivated at school at all, my grade or low, and I'm not happy. I quit Police Technology because it was not fun. I continue working at the dead-end job, so I quit school. Try again!

Internship at the SPVM all summer.

I did an internship all summer at the SPVM has a police cadet. It was very fun, I learn a little bit about the ropes of the job, and I was able to test drive the work. School is starting and I enjoy it very much. I finish Police Technology with the smile, and I'm now ready for "ENPQ", "The National Police School of Quebec". Should I go directly to the "ENPQ" or should I wait a little bit to relax and travel.

I decide to go to the "ENPQ", for the next 15 weeks be at Nicolet to complete my training and finally be able to become a police officer. 15 weeks later, I just finish my training, it was very intense, but I really love it. now I can choose where I want to work. I can choose between the SPVM or the SQ, what should I chose.

Travel before the "ENPQ"

I decide to take a little break before going to the "ENPQ", I decide to travel and relax. I am in Spain on vacation, I recently met someone, and I think am very in love with her. I just decide to stay live in Spain with her, I will not come back to Quebec. I decide to work here in Barcelona in Spain, I work for one of the staffs of the Fc Barcelona, I follow this team since I was a child, so it's the dream job. I will not finish my training to become a police officer. Try again!

Go to SPVM.

I chose to go to the SPVM, it is really the dream place to work, a lot of action, the call are all different, I see everything and touch every aspect of the job of a police officer. It's been 4 years since I joined the SPVM has a police officer, in a year I would be able to choose if do another job in the police, likes become a sergeant or an investigator for example, or I can stay on the patrol. To prepare me, my sergeant propose me some on-the-job-training to see the job of a member of the tactic group. I don't know if I want to go in this way. I have to choice, do the OJT to see the job or decline the offer and stay on the patrol.

Go to SQ.

I decide to go at SQ, in SQ they chose where you will work all around Quebec, that stresses me a lot because I don't know where they are going to ship me. They finally chose where I am going to go, they offer me to choose between the north of Quebec or Gaspésie, for each offer it is very far from my home. I decide to decline the offer, it is way too far from home, SQ was not for me, I should have taken the SPVM. Try again!

Do the OJT.

I decide to do the OJT, I really like the tactic group, the group atmosphere is incredible, I see myself working there in the future. My sergeant just tell me that they see a lot of potential in me and that they want me to do the tryout for the tactic group. There only one thing that I'm not sure, it is a very dangerous job, and it's a lot of work, and I recently became a dad, so I want to be there for my family. What should I do? Do I do the tryout are should I decline the offer and stay on the patrol where I can be there for my family?

Stay on patrol.

I decide to not do the OJT and just stay on the patrol because this is what I like to do. It turns out that this day we received a call for a robbery in someone houses. My partner and I arrive at the house and the robbers are there, we call for backup because it is a very dangerous situation, we decide to enter the house very carefully, guns in the hands and ready for every situation. My partner accidentally steps on a dog toys, and it makes a very loud squeak. The robbers saw us I start to shoot at us. The backup finally show up, and we were able to arrest the robbers but at what cost. During the time they were shooting at us, I was able to protect my partner, but I receive a bullet in my leg. I am not able to return to patrol due to my injury, I will have some difficulty walking for the rest of my life. Now I have two choice, I can continue to work but as an investigator or I just stop working the police.

Do the tryout.

It turns out that my family fully behind me with the project, they think that it is an opportunity that I can let go. So, I do the tryout, the inspector saw me, and immediately he wanted me in the team. I become a member of the tactic group, I am so happy about that promotion. After 12 years in the tactic group, I start to get old for it, the new generation have to come. I return on patrol a little bit, and after I become a sergeant, I continue to climb the ladder to end up becoming the big boss of the SPVM. At 67 years old it is finally time to retire form the police, after 45 years of service. I can now rest and enjoy moment with my family and my friends. After all this years I can finally give myself a little gift, I always dream to buy my dream car, so I buy a McLaren 765LT.

Stay on patrol to stay with my family.

I decide to stay on the patrol and not do the tryout for the tactic group. I want to be there for my family and for my newborn. I am a big fan of motorcycles, I drive one, so I decide to become a motorcycle police officer. Many years later after a wonderful career I am now ready to retire from the police, for sure I don't have the same amount of money for my retirement that if I go in the tactic group, but I can now rest and travel with my wife.

Become an investigator.

I decide to continue what I love, so I continue working in the police but has an investigator. I didn't think at first that this was the job that I wanted, working at a desk all day, but with my condition I had to adapt myself to this new reality. After years of working at the investigations, I just decide to retire from the police. I enjoy all the years that I have done for the SPVM. I retire, and decide to become a teacher at Ahuntsic College, I teach in Police Technology, for me it was the best way to end my career, by giving and teaching all the things that I have learn during my career in the police.

Stop working for the police.

I decide to quit the police, with my condition I didn't see myself continue in this way. My wife got an opportunity to go work in England, so I decide to move with her. In the past I was a football player, not professional, but I was good. I apply to work has one of Chelsea's coach. They see the quality I have in coaching and in teamwork. The police help with the self defense and with the teamwork, so Chelsea took me for the head coach of the defense. I was able to teach the player some betters position to defense. I did this for many years, the police miss me a lot, but I am happy that find a new career and that I am with my family in fabulous country.
