After high school, I have the choice to go to Ahuntsic College in Business or to go at Andre Grasset College in Psychology.

Choice 1 : Apply to Ahuntsic College.

I finished my secondary. I decided to go to Ahuntsic College in Business. I took this program because I know I wanted to work in a job related to finance. I always had an interest in finance, so I wanted to become a financial counselor.My 2 years of cegep are going very well, and I pulled off straight A's in all of my courses.

Choice 1 : Apply to HEC in Finance

Choice 2 : Go to Mcgill in Business

Apply to Andre Grasset College.

When I was at Andre Grasset, I studied psychology. I really loved psychology, so I thought I would like to become a psychologyst. Many jobs were offered for me.

Choice 1 : Work as a hypnosis psychologist

Choice 2 : Work as a behavior psychologist

Go to HEC in Finance.

I decided to apply to HEC in finance because I always liked finance stuff and I wanted to work in this field. Furthermore, the HEC is a reaaly godd place to learn many financial terms such as profit, residual value or pension.

Choice 1 : Work as a financial counselor

Choice 2 : Work as an accountant.

Go to Mcgill University in Business.

I decided to apply to Mcgill University in finance because Mcgill University has a really good reputation. Moreover, I apply at Mcgill but I have a lot of difficulty in a lot of courses and I finally pulled of bad results in all of my classes.

Work as a financial counselor.

I started to work as a financial counselor at Desjardins. I really liked my job because the tasks I had to do were very diversified. I basically helped people with their bank account and organize their personal finance. But, every client had a different financial situation. For example, some clients came at my office because their amount of purchases was bigger than their amount of income.Other clients wanted to help for their investments. Finally, some clients also wanted help to make a good budget.One day, I got the opportunity to have a better paying job in another financial counselor enterprise.So, what should I do next?

Work as an accountant.

I decided to work as an accountant because I thought this job would be really good for me. Unfortunately, when I started the job, I quickly found this job boring and repetitive. Indeed, accountants only do some tasks such as fill out tax reports of people.I thought of quitting the job because the tasks weren't diverse enough. So, What should I do next?

Take a sabatical year to think about my future.

After my 2 years at McGill University in Business, I decided to take a sabbatical to think about my future. During this sabbatical year, I travelled around the world for 6 months. During this half year, I visited many countries such as Italy, France, South Africa, South Korea and Japan. One day, I saw a volunteering abroad project about wildlife conservation in Kenya. I decided to participate because of the good premium wage they offered and because the purpose of the project was really interesting.

Choice 1 : Go to Concordia University in Biology

Choice 2 : Go to UQAM in urban planning

Stop my studies and work at Walmart.

After the two difficult schooling years I passed at McGill, I decided to work at Walmart for a few years. But, I quickly regret choice. Indeed, working at Walmart was a dead-end job. I had to do the same repetitive tasks over and over again. After 2 years working there, I decided to quit my job and return to school.

Choice 1 : Return to University

Choice 2 : Find a new job

Stay at my actual job.

I really liked my job as a financal counselor. I decided to stay at my actual work because I found the work environment very stimulating and the people were really nice with me at this work place.

Choice 1 : Ask for a salary increase

Choice 2 : Move up the hierarchy

Take the better paid job.

Even though I really like my actual job ,I took the decision to take the better paid job because I wanted a bigger salary to have the ability to pay myself the things I want to have such as a new car, sports equipement and a new watch.

While I was working as an accountant, I realized that I wasn't happy when I was doing my job. First, I didn't like the repetitive tasks of the job. I started to consider my job as a dead-end job. The unpleasant work environment is another reason why I wanted to quit my job. Indeed, there were a lot of office politics such as employees doing harassment and gossiping.

Even if I didn't like it very much to be an accountant, I decided to search a new job in accounting. I found many positive aspects to this job such it is a well- paid job and the big importance of the job. I found a new job in another firm where the work environment is more stimulating.

While I was doing my volunteering abroad project in Kenya, I noticed that I was really interested in biology. I decided to go study in this program at Concordia University.

While I was visiting countries, I realized that the urban planning was really interesting for me. I wanted to design the recent neighbourhoods of my city. I wanted to give more space to trees and plants in our residential neighbourhoods.

After my awful experience of work at Walmart, I decided to return to University. I didn't really know in which program I wanted to go. However, I knew I wanted to learn new things in a specific domain. So, I spoke to a career guidance officer to know in which program I should apply.

After my two years at Walmart, I wanted to find a new job that requires more ability and more diverse skills. I quickly learn the ropes at Walmart and I already had a foot in the door in retail store. So, I decided to work at Réno-Dépôt to learn more about the building materials.

I worked as a financial counselor in the same enterprise for 10 years now. So, I asked my manager to have a salary increase. I explained to him that I had more than the required skills for doing the job and that I was a exemplary employee during the 10 years I worked here. What will my boss do next?
