My-dream-job

My trip to university.

After finishing high school, I had to choose if I continue my studies or if I get a dead end job. I decided to pursue my studies to then get a great job. My plan was to get a diploma from university to then become a literature teacher. I have just finished my master degree and I have got a job proposition from Ahuntsic College in Montreal. I had to choose if I accept the job or if I continue my studies to get a doctorate.

Choice 1 : My job at Ahuntsic College.

Choice 2 : My return to school.

My job at Ahuntsic College.

When I have accepted a job at Ahuntsic College, I was very overwhelmed. I felt a lot of pressure because it was the first time I presented in front of a group. My first two classes went very well but at the third class, a young man did not agree with my position about a classic book referring to the rule to be objective. He told me that I was too partial and that I was a bad teacher. Some people disagreed with him and some agreed. It was a very chaotic class and I was shocked. I had a choice to make, do I stop teaching for a while or I keep doing my thing.

Choice 1 : Stop teaching and look for another job.

Choice 2 : Present the next class.

Stop teaching and look for another job.

I decided to stop teaching for the moment and go look out for another job. I apply at multiple CEGEPs and as it turned out I was accepted at College André Grasset. I was very glad that I decided to stop teaching because if I did not do that, I would have never had this job opportunity.

Choice 1 : The end.

The second session.

The first session went out very well and I was excited to teach for the second one. Everybody seemed so calm and attentive to what I was saying. I had a boost of confidence and did make jokes with students. I turned out to be overconfident because once, when I was presenting a book written by a black author, I pronounced the n word. Although in class it did not seem to be a shock, a complaint was made to my superior. I was not shortly after fired. So now a choice was in for me: do I go back to school to finish my doctorate or do I apply elsewhere? I decided to apply at College André Grasset.

Choice 1 : Finish my doctorate

Choice 2 : Apply elsewhere

Present the next class.

I decided to present the next class. At first, everybody in class seemed attentive and were taking notes. Shockingly, after forty minutes, a student threw rocks at me. I fell down unconscious and the other student went out to seek help. I decided to never teach again.

Choice 1 : The end.

My return to school.

I was very confident about returning to university because I have always had good grades at school. This session was the most important because if I achieve my objective to get good grades, I could get my diploma. I always go to university from my house in Verdun to University of Montreal with a bike. Unfortunately, something very bad happened: I was hit by a car and my both legs were broken. An ambulance came and took me to the hospital. The pain was so heavy that I was seeking to swallow all the calming pills in front of me. What do I do?

Choice 1 : Wait for the doctor

Choice 2 : Swallow all the calming pills.

Wait for the doctor.

The doctor came twelve hours after my admission to intensive care. I found it awfully long but I was glad to be finally taking in charge after this long laps of time. The doctor told me that the leg injuries would take two months and a half to heal. I also had to stay three weeks in hospital because it was a very serious injury. So now, do I decide to teach in a wheelchair after three weeks or do I ask to stay in hospital longer?

Choice 1 : Teach after three weeks.

Choice 2 : Stay in hospital.

Swallow all the calming pills.

The feeling of desperation was really present because I was waiting for the doctor for nine hours. I decided to swallow all the calming pills. Five days later, I woke up. Surprisingly, I did not die. The doctors said I was very lucky, I will never do this again.

Choice 1 :

Teach after three weeks.

I was very glad to see me students again and to teach in front of them was my only way to feel alive. As it turned out, I had a promotion after two weeks of teaching. It was the funniest thing ever because I never thought I would get a promotion by teaching in a wheelchair. Nevertheless, I was very glad and I thanked my superiors. It was a great idea to come back!

Choice 1 : The end.

Stay in hospital.

I was very bored every day. I was just waiting to get out of hospital and I seemed so long. Unfortunately, my stay in hospital ended for me in a tragic way. Some guy, who turned out to be another patient, pushed me from the window on the six floor of the hospital. I died instantly. I should have gone to school!

The end.

We never know what life brings us. That is what makes it special to live. I have no regret and I am very glad I have lived all of those thrilling adventures.
