I just graduated from Police Technology and I have the choice to go to university or at the National Police School Of Quebec to complete my police training.

After my 15-week paramilitary training at the National Police School of Quebec, I need to choose with police corp I want to work in. This will determine where I will be working for the next couple years. There are many small police corp in Quebec, but I want to be working in one of the two major police corp of the province.
Choice 1 : SPVM.

I decided to go to university before working as a police officer. There are so many programs to choose from, but first I need to choose if I want to pursue a program linked to police work or do something completely different.

I decided to go working with the SPVM! I wanted to have action, diversity in the 911 calls, and I wanted to work in the bog city. I now need to decide in which police de quartier (PDQ) I want to work in. Do I want to go more Downtown or in a more residential area?

I decided to go working with the SQ! I didn't want to work in a big city and wanted a calmer area. I now need to decide if I want to go working up north, in a more secluded area or south closer to cities.

I decided to not study in a program related to my field of study. I wanted to pursue another passion that I had for history. Should I study archeology or history?

I decided to go work in downtown Montreal. I wanted a lot of action and, diversity in my interventions. Downtown, we see lots of sexual harassment, homeless people in need and, more often than not, bar fights. I have been working there for a couple of years now and, I feel like I have learned the ropes and that I know the ins-and-outs of the job. Should I keep being a patrol officer or should I climb the ladder to be a more decorated officer?
Choice 1 : Stay a patrol officer downtown.

I decided to go work in a more secluded and, residential area of Montreal. I wanted calmer interventions and, road patrolling. We have lots of interventions every day, but we focus on keeping the streets safe and patrolling in the car. I love my job and I think I will keep it until my retirement.

I decided to go working up north. I wanted to help the northern communities. Yes, the position offered premium wage but, the best thing about it, is the fact that I feel like I make a difference in these communities. I became a police officer to help people and, this is what I feel like I am doing every day. I love my job and, I think I will keep it until I retire.

I decided to go work in a little city a couple hours away from Montreal. I wanted a calm place to work where I felt like I could help people. I was not ready to go up North, far away from my family and, friends, away form everything I have known so far. I love my job in the small city. I think I will keep it until I retire.

I decided to study criminology because I am passionate about crime trends and, the causes of crime. After completing my major, I am faced with the choice to continue my studies and get a doctorate to become a specialist or to stop and become a criminologist right away?

I decided to study cybersecurity because I have always loved technology and, I want to protect people from hackers and scammers. Given that I love police work, I want to work close to it and, I want to specialize myself in a field. The two fields I am the most interested by are online spying and in terrorism. With one should I choose?

I decided to study history even though I studied in Police Technology for three years because I realized that my real passion was events of the past. I got my baccalaureate in history and, I loved everything about it. there are a couple different jobs that I could apply for but the two that really caught my attention are history teacher and archivist. Which one should I choose?

I decided to study archeology because I realized that I was my dream to become an archeologist. I love my time at school, but it is now time to make a life altering decision. Should be an archeologist here in Quebec, Canada or should I move abroad where older civilization have lived?

I chose to keep being a patrol officer downtown because I love my job and, change is not necessary in my opinion. I was a police officer for 25 years, until I retired. I faced many challenges during my 25 years of working for the SPVM, but it was all worth it in the end.

I made the choice to climb the ladder of the SPVM because I believed something more was waiting for me. I was right! I managed to climb the ladder little by little, and after more than 20 years, I became the director of the SPVM! It was, without a doubt, the best decision I could have made. I feel like I have made a difference in the way police officers are perceived, and how police officers make their interventions to be able to help as many people as possible.

After nearly 30 years of working in the neighbourhood of Montreal, I decided to retire. I loved my career, and I feel like I have helped people throughout the entirety of it. I will now collect my pension, and live a great rest of my life!
