Which University to apply?

I have two choices: University of Montreal or University of Laval, even though they are both a bit far from where I live. But it's worth it.

Choice 1 : University of Montreal

Choice 2 : University Of Laval

Apply to University of Montreal.

This was a good choice, I am happy that I have chosen to study here. The environment at the University of Montreal is so good. Beside the fact that I have friends and family that study here too, professors and student in general are sweet. Soon, I will finish and get my diploma sadly I am already nostalgic. I am wondering what I will do after I finish.

I am not sure that I made the best choice. People here are boring and vicious, they tried to sabotage my work. I feel alone, and it doesn't help me to get straight A's. And mentally I haven't been that bad. I think I may reconsider my choice or persevere. I'm really lost, what do you think I should do?

What to do after getting my diploma.

Finally after 5 great years, I graduated from University of Montreal. Now, I can apply for a job that will lead me to a career as a Diplomat. My dream is to eventually work at the UN, but to get there, obviously I need to put a foot in the door. I really need to learn the ropes before being able to go to the UN. But maybe I should go to do an internship in Türkiye, it could be an opportunity to go live in my dream country and at the test drive my potential new job. Or maybe after being so overwhelmed by school, just take a break and go for a vacation in Jamaica.

It has always been my dream to work for UN. But unfortunately I need to start somewhere, and that's why I decided to go work for the federal government. I am now officially a trainee, and I am doing my on-the-job training so that I can learn the ropes. The nice woman at HR has asked me where I want to work next. Neither position comes with a premium wage. I can’t make up my mind. Maybe, I can go to for an internship in Türkiye or I get use some vacation in Jamaica maybe.

I always dreamed to get a job and live in Türkiye. And getting an internship here is not just amazing. And really don't feel overwhelmed by work or pressured, in the contrary I get to learn the ropes and how my future job will be, and at the same time I get to connect with this beautiful country. I am not alone here I already know some people here from the times I came before, so I get to go out with them and rediscover this beautiful city of Istanbul. Since I came here, I learned to not stress and to prioritize my mental health and my dreams. And rediscovering Türkiye made me remember my love for traveling. So, I don't really think that after this, I'll go back to Montreal to get a job, I think I will rather travel around the world and have fun, before focusing in having responsibilities.

It's such a big relief that I have made this choice. The weather here is incredible, people here and lovely. Even though I have been robbed, but it wasn't all the money I had, it was a small amount, I wasn't traumatized after that honestly. I met a handsome and lovely men there that helped me to get through this all. He was Jamaican, I met him the first day I arrived, he was my vacation crush. And we started talking, when he knew that I got robbed, he went himself to the police station and then came back to comfort me. We went to see the sunset in the beach and then went to a restaurant. He dropped me at the airport, and I didn't even get his social media or something, and I think it's better like that. Obviously, I need to start looking for a job know or maybe get a job not really related to my field.

Working here is a nightmare I never thought that the government would be that corrupted. Corruption is everywhere and besides this there's a lot of sexual harassment, I first heard it at an event, some ladies were talking about how they're colleges were constantly flirting with them even though they weren't receptive. But I didn't really mind it, until I saw a misconduct from a college or a perpetrator as they say. He started by making inappropriate comments that were considered flirtation for him. I really can't continue here, I need to leave, immediately go for a vacation or something, just to change my mind from all this.

Volunteering abroad was always one of my dreams, and since my purpose is to satisfy myself spiritually, I aim to follow and fulfill all of my dreams. At the beginning, I was skeptical about which country I should choose, finally I chose my country, and what a lovely choice! So, that I will be sure that they're going to be no disadvantages because I really know my country. And one of the biggest advantages is that as a volunteer I will get to help not just my people but my family too, and for me this is invaluable, their gratitude to me is better than a premium wage job. And this volunteering trip really reconnected me with my origins and made me down-to-earth.
