I just finished studying Social Science at Ahuntsic College and I have two choices of career that I can choose. I can either go to university to study criminology or I can decide to chose a completely different career path and become a tattoo artist.
Choice 1 : Study criminology.

I have decided to study criminology at university, and I love this course because of how interesting it this. I have great classes like psycho criminology and victimology. I do thorough study sessions to earn my degree and once I finish, I will have to choose between becoming a detective or a probation officer.

I am now a detective, and it's a super job, the wage is great enough, and I love discovering new things. Yesterday, I learned about the hunch an idea that is based on feeling, and for which there is no proof, and forensics which is he use of scientific techniques in criminal investigations. My OJT went well, and the person who trained me was very nice, and explained perfectly what I had to do. My favorite part about his job is when we have to do alibi, sometimes it can be maddening because you get stuck but when you get it, it's so fun.

I started my OJT as a probation officer, and I love it. My job, generally, consists of supervising probationers which can be though sometimes since those people aren't always welcoming. My parents were skeptical at first since this job can be dangerous, but they are happy that I genuinely love what I am doing. This job provides me with a purpose because I feel like each day I help someone.

After Cegep, I have decided to become a tattoo artist. I have been interested to learn more about this art for a moment now, and to practice it. I did an 8-month training session, now that I am done I have to choices, open my own shop or work at a shop for someone.

After my 8-month sessions to learn how to tattoo, I have decided to open my own shop. It was hard at first because you have to find the right spot, and hire people then after that, you have to attract clients. Having your own shop has a lot of advantages, but also a lot of disadvantages. As an advantage, you have a lot of liberty since I am my own boss I choose when I open the shop or when I go home. A disadvantage is that time management can be hard, I have to manage my time to take appointment, also having to manage a team can be really hard. I also have to do a lot of internships to hire people, but I still love my job.

Finally, I have decided to work for a tattoo shop. Learning the ropes been a little bit difficult at first but thankfully the team there was super welcoming. I got sucked up in all of this because of how interesting it is to put your art on people's skin. People think that wages as a tattoo artist are bad, but it usually varies a lot. I learned how to place a stencil on someone, and which needle to put in tattoo machine in function of the tattoo size, and style.
