It was the end of high school. I had a decision to make. I didn't like maths. I enjoyed drawing, but I wasn't good with computers. Which should I choose? If I chose psychology, people told me I wouldn't need maths. If I chose graphic design, I would have to draw on a computer instead of on paper.

I decided to stay in psychology. I pulled off passing all of my classes for this first semester. I told myself that psychology was not that bad and maybe I might even start liking it at some point. Although I was doing pretty good for this first semester I still had my doubts about this career path. What should I do?
Choice 1 : Going to Uni.
Choice 2 : Sabbatical year.
I decided to give graphic design a shot. After all it can't be that bad, it's still drawing but in a lazier way yet more complicated than traditional drawing. It actually was kind of fun. I ended up befriending some people in the class that helped me get more comfortable using the drawing software. What should I do now?

Afters years of studying, I have decided to go to University. I had told myself that just like I pushed through in Cegep, i was going to be able to do the same in Uni. I still did not like this field of studying that much but the salary was promising.

Choice 2 : Change paths.
I felt like I had burn out from forcing myself to study in something that I did not enjoy much. I had decided to take a sabbatical year instead of going straight to university. I had plans to travel all across the world, and meeting up with my long time friend that had been living in Japan for 2 years now. We had plan to meet up at the first country we're planning on visiting. Where should I meet my friend ?
Choice 1 : Mexico
Choice 2 : Morocco.
I had been friends with a tiny group of people that I met back in my first graphic design classes in Cegep. Since the job of a graphic designer relies a lot on the individuals experience in the field and that most of us were still new to that career, we had the idea to open up a small business together. That way we would gain experience and start making a name for ourselves as well as some cash. What should I do next?
Choice 1 : Continue studying graphic design.
Choice 2 : Trust the process and continue.
We agreed on meeting in Morocco. Her family told her that they would be more than happy to receive us as guests, especially since she had not been here for years. We get to the mountains. Our hosts seemed to be very excited, almost in a very suspicious way. Both my friend and I noticed it but did not say anything about it. after climbing all the way we found out why they looked so excited. It was a set up. The wedding in question was supposed to be my friend's, only thing was, that she did not know anything about this. Imane then got married to that random village boy she did not know and I had to leave because my visa was about to expire. I have now found my motivation to become a therapist and focus on the studies to forget that awful story until I can go back there and see my friend again.

We end up designing things to print on sweaters that we would sell on our own shared website. Everything was going well until one day we noticed something was wrong. We had realised that one of us was stealing a good chunk of everyone's else profits. But when we had realised that it was already too late. The culprit was already gone, he had planned this scam for months now and had managed to overtake the website as well. The rest of us were left behind and we went our separated ways. I gave up on designing and went back to be a bartender.

I accept the offer, as shady as it looked. As I was heading to the headquarters of the company, I started getting nervous. I present more designs to thee headboard of the character design department and they like it. I end up liking the overall vibe of the place and officially get the position. I now draw cool looking characters for popular games and get paid a good amount doing what I love.

All of this looked very suspicious. I thought this was an elaborate scam. I declined the offer telling the PR team that has tried to contact me to get off of my page and stop trying to take advantage of small artists. Later that day, I log in one of my favorite games, League Of Legends, and notice that new skins for characters are out. As I check them out, I had noticed that one of them looks oddly familiar. I realized that the company had actually stole my design and tweaked it a little. I went to see a lawyer about the matter and he told me to give up, it would be a lost cause going against a multimillions company. So give up, I did. Ever since that day I've stopped drawing and went back to bartending.

I have decided to push through my hatred for the domain and tried studying to get a PhD. The further I get into these studies the harder It seemed to be for me to even imagine changing courses. I hated all of it, the tons of books I had to read and the very weird and obscene theories of Freud. At the end I received my diploma, but I am so disgusted from all these years of having to force myself to study into a domain that I grew to hate that I don't even try getting a job with that degree. I end up going back to being a Bartender for the rest of my life.

We decided to dress up and go out. We get to the bar, take seats on the terrace, where a band was playing. As we were talking we see a man looking at us from across the room. He looked drunk, so we did not mind him and went back to discussing. The man suddenly approached us, his figure looked familiar, as he got closer he started talking to us. At first I could not see his face since it was dark outside and the lights were dimmed. I realized as my friend let's out a gasp, that this man was indeed my Ex. I was in shock, but then again this is his hometown, kind of. Both my friend and I get up and stormed out as he kept following us and begging me to hear him out. My mood was ruined and we both decided to book another RBNB further away from this place for the rest of the trip.

As our night was going, I receive a notifications coming from my Email imbox, I open the said email and fin out that the small, yet good paying job that I applied for a few months ago accepted me. I realized just now how much I despise the domain of psychology. Of course I could just drop out and find a part-time job until I decide on doing something more meaningful in my life. I could either go back to bartending forever, or do go back to bartend and try writing a book about a subject I'm passionate about. What should I do?
Choice 1 : Part-timer.
Choice 2 : Write a book.
I was afraid of starting something new. So I chose to go back to bartending. Ever since then I did not feel motivated to look for another option and gave up on going back to study. I make enough money to get by, although now I am miserable since I have to spends most of my nights listening to customers complaining or telling outrageous stories.

I go back to bartending for the mean time. I work on my up coming book, in which I spend 900 pages hating on psychology and tell how annoying studying something you did not like at first can get heavy on your mental health. Ironically enough I used my personal experience going through this phase of my life as well as information I learned along my years of studying in the field to explain a few phenomenon. Surprisingly enough, my book made a lot of sales and so, I was able to drop the part-timer and become a full-time author.
