The beginning at Ahuntsic College was really hard for me, I had no motivation or passion I did not know what to do in the future. I failed all of my classes, I had no time management I remember telling myself I want to give up and just do reliable work. The only reason I went to college was due to my parents. Everybody around me was saying how important college was and how much I needed it to have a happy and successful life. Then one day, I got kick out since that day I have learned why school was important and why I need to refocus because I had to work and pay for everything I needed for a year. When I got back to school after all this happened I put aside everything else then passed all of my classes with straight A's and was ready for more to come.
Choice 1 : Work at Couche-Tard.
Choice 2 : Become an ultrasound technician.

Before I start College I was on a job training at Couche-Tard I worked there for 3 years I used to love this job and always think that one day I want to be a manager there since I did not want to go to college. At that time I just wanted to work there until I found something else like a manager in a bigger business store. I loved being able to test drive the job It was really fun, and they were not a lot of tasks to do, so It didn't take me long to learn the ropes. What makes me love this work so much and the reason it was what a really wanted at the time was the fact that they really trust me there. One time Human Ressources got done all their leg work and contacted me about a vacant position in my field. I was really excited and scared at the same time. They definitely perform a background check on me because It's very important for them to know everything about the person they contact to verify that everything is right, and they don't have any criminal records or bad work history. They told me that somebody took a leave of absence that's why they had a vacant position available. I also discuss my compensation package to know all the benefits about the work and the salary before I accept.I was so excited knowing that I had no bills to pay, and I was making good money so for me Couche-Tard was the perfect work. I also thought that The day my daily drudgery of working at Couche-Tard would come to an end. I would except a big pension because I will work a lot Also, in the future I will set aside money, so I don't have to struggle. I know the drive of work can be insane so when I retire I want to relax and not worry about any money or other stuff. I will be able to pay off my mortgage and never miss the drive of work ever again and all my work will pay off. After thinking about all this and making my plans I had a conversation with my dad letting him know my plans and how I felt about my future that's when he explains to me that it's either I go to college and learn something important or I go get my own apartment. That's the day I decided to look for another dream and leave Couche-Tard behind.
Choice 1 : Become an Ultrasound technician.
The day I finally knew that I want to become an ultrasound technician everything around me change.College became more important, and I finally had a goal in life. It all started, a couple months ago I was working in a hospital. Then one day I decided to volunteer abroad in another country. When I arrived I was all by myself, I left my family and friends to stay in a hotel room for 2 weeks. I Indeed gain invaluable in-depth experience from my field of study I never regret this decision also, I have met so many nice people and gains new skills when I went back home, the hospital I was working at gave me a premium wage because I was the only one who said yes when they ask for someone to volunteer. This volunteering abroad help me open my eyes about what I wanted to do in the future because I was working with an ultrasound technician lady, and she was telling me about her story witch really inspire me I kept asking her how she knew this was what she wanted she told me that we all know what we really want deep down inside it take more time for some people but one day you will get up, and you will know what u truly want. I was so inspired by what she said that I decided to do the same career as her so that was when I start taking school more serious and really found my purpose in life.
