The Beginning.

Hi, my name is Nithush Shakthidharan. I have been studying Business Management for 3 years in College Ahuntsic. What made me choose the program of business management. It was the end of high school, I wasn't sure what to do next. I didn't know which college to go. All of my friends were all exited, because they decided to go to the same college. I always wanted to have a lot of money, but also when I was a young kid I always wanted to become a police officer and help the community. I decided then to take the path of an entrepreneur. I was influenced and inspired by many entrepreneurs in social media. I wanted to learn the basics of selling a product, being an owner, have my own brand and many more. I also wanted to take a break for a year. I wanted to stay at home and chill. I needed time to think about my future. What should I do?

I decided then to choose College Ahuntsic. I decided then to take the path of an entrepreneur. I was influenced and inspired by many entrepreneurs in social media. I wanted to learn the basics of selling a product, being an owner, have my own brand and many more. I just wanted to make my parents proud and become a successful entrepreneur and make them retire. I founded that this program will take me 3 years to complete it. I had two ideas in mind. One, I should study and concentrate to finish my 3 years, or I should go to college part-time and work part-time as an online seller. I will start my drop shipping journey, open up my online business. What should I do?

Take a break.

I needed a break after I had the Covid-19. I was broken mentally and physically. I needed to heal myself before stepping into the real world. I wanted to chill at home, watch my phone and Tv and just think about my next move. My friends were suggesting to me to play video games and play professional by participating into competitions. I was lazy, and I got fatter. I was a sore loser. I couldn't make money, and I felt I lost everything in life.

Choice 1 : Start over.

Journey in College.

I should concentrate in college. I shouldn't be playing around with my education. I do not need to work while I'm studying. My parents are supporting me financially. If I was working, I would get a lot of pressure, stress and this would affect my mental health. It's important to learn the ropes to help me in my future internships. After 3 years, I finally finished my program. I was happy, exited for my future. I wasn't sure what to do next. Should I pursue my studies at The University of Montreal, use my college diploma to work in an IT company with my cousin in Ottawa or start working my side hustle in Shopify.

Work and help my family.

I will work part-time and go to college as a part-time student. By working, I would able to help my family. I was able to help my family financially. Unfortunately, I couldn't study well in college. I was failing all of my classes. I was lazy and didn't want to study. I only wanted to work. I was only earning a minimum wage. I was setting aside a lot of money. I was planning ahead for my retirement and my pension. My drive of work was set high, but I couldn't have a great future.

My Journey at The University of Montreal.

I didn't get accepted at The University of Montreal. I didn't have enough points in my Cote R. I didn't want to try another university because I wasn't motivated at all. I was skeptical at first. I wasn't able to use my college diploma, and now I'm a manager at a store. I was undermined, and I was having a lot of office politics. It was a dead-end-job. I didn't earn many advantages. I felt I was doing the job with no purpose. My employees weren't hard workers like me. My salary was not a lot. I had to hire a lot more people to pack more in the grocery store. I couldn't enjoy my vacations because I was worrying about the state of the store. My life was a repetition and boring.

My dream in an IT company.

I applied in an IT company in Ottawa. The same place where my cousins work at. I was trilled. I was accepted and I would get a OJT. My trainee was my own cousin. I was motivated to learn the ropes. I was happy with the salary they are offering me, and I didn't find many disadvantages. It was the perfect career for me. I made a lot of money, bought a house for my parents.

My Hustle at Shopify.

With the lessons I learned in college, I decided to start my side hustle In Shopify. I wanted to be financial free. I wanted to be my own boss. I started my journey as an online seller. Unfortunately, I didn't get a lot of customers or orders. I thought the classes I took in college came in handy. I failed because I didn't have any experience or interns. I didn't give up on myself. I decided maybe to resell it to another platform. I wasn't sure where exactly. I also had the idea of opening my own warehouse and ship the products with my team rather than a third party doing it for me. Should I take online courses before changing trying another platform?

I took online courses. It was worth spending on extra classes that I couldn't get at college. I build my team on LinkedIn, and we started to make a lot of sales and profit. We all came rich. I bought many super cars and retired my parents.

I decided to buy a warehouse. I had my brother to support me. I couldn't get far. It was hard for me to pay the bills. I was in-dept. I couldn't pay salaries for my team. I was losing a lot of money. I failed and I was depressed. I ended up being homeless and failed my parents.
