Since I arrived in college, I had to make a big decision between sports and school.

Since I turned 17, I’ve been telling myself that I must be above the class average in each course. To do this, I worked a lot on my time management which really made the difference. Some students don't need to study, and they are still able to pull off straight A's. Studying may be maddening but that’s what it takes for me to have good grades even though I don’t want to. When I’m in class, I listen thoughtfully to what the teacher says and take notes to make my revision easier at home. After reflection, I realized that really did a cursory job on my schoolwork which made me have poor grades. It’s important to be concentrated on class and that’s why people may not put aside their hours of sleep. Anyway, since I started having that mentality, I’ve been doing a thorough job at school.

To do this, I had to put aside my time management for school and focus on working out which really made the difference. Office politics is when you put self-serving interests above the interests of the organization. Office politics had frequently caused a toxic environment. For example, I worked with a guy named Brandon, and he knew about an important information which he withheld just because he didn't like me, got me in trouble. In a workplace, it’s always going to have people undermining you when your’e a rookie, but I can’t let that get to my head. I always have to stay focused on what I got engaged for. I remember when I used to work in a warehouse, people didn’t like me because I was doing good. I started to act like them, and it almost got me sucked up in big trouble. I decided to always stay positive even if people hindered me because more often than not, this type of people be jealous of you.

At 20 years old, I entered the professional league with high hopes. However, reality hit hard. I struggled to find my place among the veterans. Injuries ruined my start of the season, the coach sidelining me just as I started gaining momentum. As the years passed, I bounced from team to team, the pressure increased, and so did the doubts. Eventually, I found herself benched more often than not, watching from the sidelines as others lived my dream.

Retirement is something that’s going to happen to everyone when they get older. I remember when I used to work as an accountant and play sports, I had some drudgery work, and I was always tired when I got home. If I wasn’t working I would probably have a mortgage, due to insufficient funds. When I was younger, I decided to set aside some money for my first house and my first car. When someone retires, most of the time, the person receives a pension each month by the government to help them with the cost of life. Maybe, I should start to put some money aside for my retirement?
