I am an online student, before, all of this began I was a high school student that used to go yo school normally. But in the last years I was waiting for my heart transplant. The doctors didn't want me to get sick before the transplant. So, they suggested that if I was able to do my school online with my high school. To do it! So, that, is what I did. But in my last high school year I had to choose between going to college or going to work.
Choice 1 : Going to Ahuntsic College!
Choice 2 : Work a job I hate.
I decided I was going to Ahuntsic College! I am so happy! But another problem occurred. I do not what I want to do. Do I want to do the Electrophysiology technique or a radiology technique? Hard choice I have to go with what I want. Do I go and do a physique class? Or I just go with what my diploma offers me.
Choice 1 : Electrophysiology.
Choice 2 : Radiology.
I have to work a job I hate! I am going to earn money faster. What job is better? Being a secretary or stretcher bearer? What am I going to do... I am desperate, I hate working. I am going to hate these jobs!
Choice 1 : Secretary.
Choice 2 : Stretcher bearer.
The best choice ever! Love my classes! I am also really in my element. We go to hospitals some times to practice, and I love to interact with patients, and see how different cases are in real life. This dream job helps me to understand that everyone is different. I do know that my life is already different from others but to work with patients that can relate is even better. I can sympathize with them and vice versa. I do maybe later on do another technical job nut I still don't know. Maybe, I am going to try ultrasound. But for that job I will need to do my Chemistry course. We will see what life brings me!
Choice 1 : The job of my dream!
Decided not to do this one. Too complicated with Physics classes. After my diploma, I got my heart transplant and didn't want to start any course that my brain can't handle. It was a tough choice my heart transplant because I knew I was embarking in a roller coaster of emotions and relearning to walk for the fifth time in my life. Even though now I am okay I still struggle with social anxiety and mental health issues du to my heart transplant. They told after my transplant that I would live a lot of emotional journeys because they give me a lot of medicine to calm me and my body. Those things made my brain all fuzzy. Fuzzy in the sens of like I don't know where I was. I hope being one day a multi technician!
Choice 1 : Start over
With my life, as a heart transplant survivor I would have probably chosen this job if I hadn't wanted to go to college. Why you may ask? Well, because this job is more relaxed than any other job. You sit all day even though that is not good for your legs... and you do paper work. What a non complicated job. But you still have to scheduled appointments and find the good case for each doctor. But for me of looks easy. But it probably is not because doctors are hard to work with, and they are almost always lost and never know whether you stopped a medication or not.
Choice 1 : Work a job I hate.
But then again maybe I would have chosen this job because I could be with patients without a college degree. I know what this job is. It is a job that is active and fun you get to help patients get to their appointment inside the hospital. Let me explain. So, it consists of bringing the patients that is either in a wheelchair or a hospital beds at their appointments when they are hospitalized. But you have to be careful not to go too fast because they can get a headache easily. An experience that I lived when I was hospitalized. Really not fun. But the patients are really happy when they are brought properly to their appointments and sometimes even thank you!
Choice 1 : Start over
