I didn't know.

The beginning.

By the end of elementary school, I was faced with two difficullt choices. All my friends was going to Sophie-Barat but I knew I wanted to go to a private school like Mont-St-Louis. The choice wasn't obvious since I didn't know wich one was going to provide me with a better time in high school.

Choice 1 : Sophie-Barat

Choice 2 : Mont-St-Louis

High-school students

Oh my, Sophie-Barat.

As the decision seemed good, my God it was somewhat a fun disaster. Since my friends and I were always together, we did a lot of jokes and fooling around. As a result, in most of my classes, with math as exception, I didn't get straight A's and barely got passage grades. Although it's a lot of fun, is staying here the right thing to do...

Choice 1 : Stay at Sophie-Barat

Choice 2 : Go back and change school

Sophie-Barat High School

Mont-St-Louis.

I was alone and had no close friends at Mont St-Louis. Since I made the academic choice of going to a private school in hopes of having a more impactful scholarship in my life, all I did is study, study and study. Talking to barely no one and not going out, it felt blend and repetitive. My parents were happy with my grades and I was using my full potential but internally, I was suffering.

Choice 1 : College?

Choice 2 : Go back and change school

Saint-Louis

College....

Despite the fooling around and unseriousness, I somehow managed to finish my high-school and get my diploma.. I wish ! I was a "bad boy" alright and got expelled. I knew the choice smelled fishy... but I like sea food !

Choice 1 : Going to George-Vanier

Hypothetic picture of my younger self

You thought.

As the days went by, and the ultime end goal was approaching, my parents realized I wasn't enjoying myslef so they pulled me back of that cursed school and put me at Sophie-Barat.

Choice 1 : Go back and change school

The grasshoper got baited

Sweet George-Vanier.

I wasn't going there on unknown soil. Some of my elementary school friends were there and it sure did facilitate my adaptation. Despite the fact that I continued to fool around with those friends of mine, I somehow managed to get my diploma and went straight to college.

Choice 1 : Finally college

Jokes on me

Ahuntsic College.

Here I was, after all those years of jokes and playfulness, I became a good kid and a great student. Ah, nope ! For the first and second semester I managed gracefully to hold that high school mentality and bring my jokes and mischief self to college. Grades were of course impacted and my first two semesters translated to an extension of high school. Because I realized I had to change some things in my personnal life in order to get better and become an improved version on myself, I took a break of school. Thankfuly I then cameback with a change mindset and new goals. That was awesome and got me my first A's in college.

Choice 1 : Afterwards

Ahuntsic College

Dream works.

A few semesters deep at Ahuntsic college, I developed an interest for finance and business. I knew by then (not Biden), that I wanted to become a financial planner/counsellor, an investor, or something related in those fields. In order to get there I had to pass by an internship. One seemed more appealing than the other choice...

Choice 1 : Invesstissement Québec.

Choice 2 : Plomberie Windexr Inc.

Career choice

Invesstissement Québec.

Yay here I am, an intern at "Investissement Québec". The corporate job was nice and everything went great... The first two weeks were the toughest but afterwards things were going smoothly. People were nice and cooperative, ready to help, warm and friendly. By week three, I started to develop a strange tumor on my butt cheeks. At first it seems irrelevant but the tumor started to hurt so I went to the doctor to get myself checked up. Unlucky me, the doctor said the tumor is the result of me sitting on my chair for too long in front of a computer. We had to operate and as a result I would never be able to have a corporate finance job for the rest of my life. Oh no !

Choice 1 : Go back and choose again

Québec city, castle Frontenac

Plomberie Windexr Inc.

Oh boy, what a "shitty" intern literally. I was first received by, you know, that typical rough looking countryside uncle looking man. He smelled really bad like rotten poop bad and was talking in your face in order to explain to you how the intern will go. It was the worst. I could see through his smell and imagine the total numbers of clogged toilets he cleaned in his entire career. I then think to myself : "what type of mess will I clean here?" Yes, I had to get my hands dirty despite the nature of the why I was an intern here, couldn't escape it as he said it was part of the learning process. I did assist in auditing their books and help in analyzing their financial health in order to find ways to reduce their cost and increase their profit and, unclogged toilets without complaining most of the time. When the internship was close to an end, the uncle looking man told me that he was very happy with my commitment and he had to present myself to his friend. Who could've known, that same friend offered me my dream corporate job at "KPMG Québec"! The internship came to an end and got an immediate job offer afterwards, wow.

Choice 1 : What the heck

Plumer Street

Corporate me.

I was in disbelief. Despite the fact that I was going to be a junior associate at KPMG, one word to describe my state of mind would be... clueless. I was more than happy and exited to begin. The beginning was rough and had to work for 60-70+ hours a week. Despite the fact that I was as exhausted as a manual car that misses a clutch switch, I felt good and had a profound sense of accomplishment. Months after months, I developed some friendships amongst my coworkers and became quite efficient at my job. One day, my superior asked me if I wanted a promotion but he couldn't tell me what it was.

Choice 1 : Accept the secret promotion

Choice 2 : Refuse the promotion

Corporate finance building

Fulfilling upcoming future...

The promotion was to be the general manager and regional supervisor of the janitors at KPGM. Crap. Here we go again.

Choice 1 : Go back and try again

Toilet

Uncertain future.

As a result of me refusing the offer, I had no other direct interaction with my superior for a week. Everything was going as it was before and thus far no problems. My superior and I got along again after week and the business was flourishing. We made good investments and acquired multiple new clients.

Choice 1 : Proceed please...

Old Future shop
