At 17 years old choosing your future can be very difficult for some people. Some teenagers really don't know what they really want to do when they are older. In fact, when your secondary comes to an end, you need to decide your future life. So here's my two choices for my future.
Choice 1 : Study in a certain domain.

If I decide to go to school and study in a certain field of study, I am risking myself to have a better salary and be happier. Schools provide knowledge and give you great opportunities.
Choice 1 : Study in administration.
Choice 2 : Study to be a pilot.
When you are searching for a job, and you don't have a relevant diploma, and don't have a high grade of study, your choices of work are limited. Companies are most of the time searching for employees ho have a diploma, and competencies in the domain that the companies is involved in. Most of the time, people who don't have diplomas are limited to little jobs, like corner store cashier, grocery clerk, etc.
Choice 1 : Work at a grocery store.
Choice 2 : Work in a cheese factory.
Studying administration would be a good choice, because this field offers several job opportunities following my studies. My studies would be in accounting and management at CEGEP. This program would allow me to learn accounting, human resources operations, inventory management and much more. This program lasts three years, and I could get a job following it. Studying in administration was something that I always thought about when I was in secondary.
Choice 1 : Go to university.
Choice 2 : Find a job after CEGEP.

On the other hand, the salary is not very high, and this represents a problem for me.
Choice 1 : Manager of the store.
Choice 2 : Quit the job in the grocery store.
Since I want a salary higher than the minimum wage, I choose to work in a cheese factory. The salary will be higher than that of the grocery store. On the other hand, the work will be harder. Working hours can regularly exceed 10 hours. This work requires good physical strength as well as very good discipline, because the work is complicated. Your risking being tired more often than not.

When my study in administration at the CEGEP is done I can directly go into the market for jobs. I can find a job to be an accountant because my study cover the world of accounting. I can also be an employee in human resources, finance and many more. But I need to be aware that if I decide to not go to university I will be limited in the future function that I can be part of just because I don't have a bachelor's certification. For example, if a job of a manager is opening in the company that I am working for, but requires a bachelor's certification I will be stuck in a wall.
