The Next Chapter.

It was the end of high school. I wasn’t sure what to do next.Nevertheless, two choices were available to me.

Choice 1 : Apply to Ahuntsic College

Choice 2 : Jump directly in the work world.

Apply to Ahuntsic College and study study Business Administration.

I decided to go to Ahuntsic College. I got straight A’s. In some of my courses, I did a cursory job. But because of my time management skills, I was able to pull off a passing grade in all of my courses. After three great years, I graduated from Ahuntsic College. Now, I can apply for a job that will lead me to a career as an accounting. However, I can also continue in the same direction in University.

Choice 1 : Bachelor's Degree In Accounting.

Choice 2 : Accounting technician At Bombardier.

Jump directly in the work world.

It has always been my dream to work for Apple. I am now officially a trainee, and I am doing my on-the-job training so that I can learn the ropes. The nice woman at HR has asked me where I want to work next. Neither position comes with a premium wage. I can’t make up my mind... A customer supports specialist at AppleCare was the one talking to me the most.

I chose the first of the two options. Now, I am a customer supports specialist. This job requires overtime and a good knowledge of English. Luckily, everything I learned in my high school English courses will come in handy while talking with Anglophones. Despite the office politics, I try not to get sucked up in their dramas and office intrigues... I knew deep down, I couldn't do this for the rest of my life, so I decided to quit...However, a coworker introduced me to the Forex market. He was making a lot of money, which caught my attention.

Choice 1 : A Foreign Exchange Trader.

So basically, I've decided to continue my studies Accounting and obtain my bachelor's degree. I now have decided to pursue my master's degree and becoming a CPA.

Accounting technician At Bombardier.

I now work as an accounting technician at Bombardier. It's practically the same as what we did in school: processing customer accounts, cash receipts, sales, debits, credits. Nothing too complicated. However, since I was just a simple technician, I found myself doing the work that no one else wanted to do. So, I realized it was time for me to take action. Otherwise, I would have been unhappy for the rest of my life. In order to be my own boss I had to continue my studies.

The next steps were very tough, lots of accounting laws to learn, lots of tax laws. It was very challenging, but I made it through in 2 years. I passed the exam, I was even in the top 5 in Quebec. I am now a CPA accountant... As I was in the top 5, I received a job offer from Lavery Group, the largest law firm in Quebec. They offered me the position of deputy director of the accounting department. They wanted me to be the one approving their financial statements. I obviously jumped at the opportunity. I've always dreamed of being my own boss.

I well-welcomed, with a very dynamic team, and I learned a lot. We ended up expanding tremendously at Lavery to the point where there was the regular Lavery group of lawyers, but we also Lavery accounting firm as well...And we even ended up relocating our headquarters to Los Angeles, where I served as the Président there.

The United States was a whole different level. We were handling the financial statements of the best American companies. There was a lot of daily stress, but I had an extremely good salary, plus very good benefits such as insurance, travel discounts, and much more... I did 20 years over there before finally retiring at the age of 50.

After 20 years of career, I was quite tired. However, I really enjoyed working at Lavery. There were good challenges every day, a lot of fun with my colleagues. I will definitely miss it.

Now I play bingo, I go gardening, I travel here and there. I spend a lot of time with my grandchildren. I go biking with my wife... I'm just enjoying life.

He began to train me slowly; however, it was really not easy. It was failure after failure after failure. I had lost over $2000 at this point, and I really started to wonder what I was doing and what am I going to do... And I said to myself, you know what, mom didn't raise a quitter. If others can do it, so can I, right?

Choice 1 : Sky is the limit.

In life, we say the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward. And that's facts! I kept working day and night, analyzing charts, reading hundreds of books, listening to podcasts, watching YouTube videos, and finally, the hard work paid off. I was now a 16-year-old millionaire. Making 6 figures a month living in Dubai! The dream life for real! I was so happy, all of my problems were solves. I was even able to retire my mom at 53 and buying her, her dream house.We now had all the time to travel all over the world...

For the past 10 years, I traveled a lot ; China, Japan, Thailand, Ireland, Australia, and many more.I also gave back a lot to the community: I built schools in Africa, invested to ensure that 1000 children could be fed for an entire year in Togo and much more. I was able to climb Mount Everest, go skydiving, and go on a cruise...I owe that to my friend who introduced me to Forex, but also thanks to my hard work.
