Mexico is a new culture and another language but this new adventure is giving you a lot of experience for if you decide to change path. You do not have the impression that you are at work because it looks like a paid vacation. It is giving you the drive of work because it's really more than just good food.

The disadvantages of working in Mexico City are that the wage is mostly low working there will not give you a good retirement money because of the low salary and the low value of pesos. Plus, even though the weather is hot and warm when there's a hurricane or an earthquake you know that it will be really catastrophic because of Mexico City's emplacement. Mexico is also a dangerous country and it's the reason why you have to be careful at night. Your clients are always counting on you to protect them but you can't do much. You saw on an article of the Business insider that only in January and February of this year there's been 4,937 homicides. So, Mexico City is maybe not the best choice.

The advantages of working in Madrid are that the euro as a bigger value so you know that if you come back and change your money it will be a bit more. The weather is most of the time warm and the website that you are working is helping you find clients and more important you can choose your salary. You are practicing your Spanish and you are able to go to France, Germany, and even Great-Brittain because those countries are really close and are part of the European Union. There is also a lot of tourists and the beautiful landscape is giving you the drive of work.

The disadvantages of working in Madrid.

The disadvantages of working in Madrid are that the culture and the country are so different from yours. The European services and apartments are not the same from the ones in Montreal. You have to pay for the water monthly, a thing that we don't do in Montreal. The euro as a bigger value, but to live in Europe is way more expensive than to live in Canada. Even though you can choose your salary, you have to ask for a rate fair enough so that people will choose you. Plus, if you decide to go back to Montreal, you know that you will not have a big pension. So, Being a travel guide in Madrid will maybe have to be a temporary job.

The advantages of working in New York City.

The advantages of working in New York are that you will always have a job and the dynamic looks like Montreal's. You'll always have a job because there are so many things to see in New York and every year a lot of tourists come all seasons. You find the dynamic looks like Montreal because it's a city with a lot of diversity, a lot of people and the weather is pretty similar. Also, this city as subways and big buildings like Montreal. You like that you have the choice of being in a water taxi, on a double-decker bus or just to walk with tourists in the Madison square garden.

The disadvantages of working in New York are that the pay is not really great and even if the city looks like Montreal it is not. In Montreal, you had a lot of services, like free medical care. The criminality rate is bigger in New York City and to have a good apartment in here at a good price is hard. You have also noticed that people in New York City look always busy and they are not really friendly and it is one of the reason why the dynamic is so different.

The weather is the same as in Montreal so during the winter you will not have many tourists because they will rather go to exotic places. So, at the end, there will be a lack of jobs.

It is hard for you to adapt yourself to the system who's really different. Like their steering wheels that are on the opposite side of the cars because of the way, their roads are. Also, their bank system is totally different, they're using a blue card system which is not like your debit card system. So, you had to throw your card from BMO or RBC to get a blue card. So, being a guide for in Paris is more like a lost of money.

Now that you are in Quebec City you have noticed the advantages of working there. Quebec City is close to Montreal. It's the same environment, culture and language. You know how the system works. You already know the history of the region and the country so the on the job training is easy. Your diploma is automatically recognized because you are in your province.

The disadvantage of working in Quebec City is that you do not have a job all year long because winters in Quebec City are hard and long. The tourists are going to go in warm countries during this time and so of most of the employees. The salary is pretty low and you can't work during the winter. So, you have noticed that a career as a travel guide is really hard in the long term because you will not have enough money for your pension. Plus, the experience is not as fun as if you were working in another country because it is the same people and the same culture. With that being said Quebec City is not the best destination for a career as a travel guide.
