Hello, friends. I have got a great video for you today. If you don't already know, my name is Alvin. For those of you who don't know about Police Technology, I'll just explain what this program involves. We take courses at Ahuntsic College which teaches us how to be a policeman.
Nobody wants to have embarrassing errors in their writing. I certainly don't. If you are like me, you want them gone.
I'm not the best student in my class, but I'm a lot better than I was when I started.
Last semester, I had an average of 90% in my English class.
My goal is to help you get better at correcting your errors while writing in English.
Stay right there. Don't move a muscle.
You'll be amazed by what is coming next.
Let me explain the problem. A lot of foreign students are in the Police Technology program. Most of these foreign students come from different countries around the world, and they don't necessarily speak English or French. To be a good police officer you should speak and write in English and French. Well, in Quebec the program is only in French, but a police officer should know how to write in English because we are in a country where the majority of people speak English. Writing in English is crucial for a police officer in Montreal as it ensure good communication in a bilingual environment where both English and French are officials languages. However, students have to learn how correct their grammar errors in case they have to fill a report in English in the future.
If you don't practice your correcting while writing in English, you'll make a bad impression to citizens when you"ll fill a report. If a police officer lacks in writing in English, it could lead to miscommunication and errors in documentation. You will get criticized for not having a good grammar and people will not take you seriously, because you'll look uneducated.
Imagine that a police officer with lacking writing English skills, fails to write correctly a report or a document, this could lead to misunderstandings, delays in investigations, and potential legal challenges due to incomplete or inaccurate reports. Just imagine a police officer that does not know how to correct his grammar errors. Yes, you'll look stupid.
That can be difficult. But don't worry. I have found the solution. In the next few minutes, I'll show you exactly how to solve this problem.
