I have been studying in this program for 2 years. Paralegal Technology is a program focused on learning how to help law professionals such as lawyers and notaries. It also gives us the information necessary to access a job as a bailiff or a clerk. We also learn the basic law principles in multiple law fields.
The job of a Paralegal consists in researching and writing a lot of documents and it is very important not to make any errors in writing or it may look unprofessional. Nobody wants to hand in a botched work, whether it's for your employer or your teacher. It does not look good and might get you in a look of trouble because it is not what it expected of you.
I know that writing in English can be challenging sometimes. I personally struggle from time to time and it is normal when English is new.
I have good grades in English and this website is a big part of that.

First, open your browser, and type www.virtualwritingtutor.com into the address bar. This is the URL that will bring to the Virtual Writing Tutor's homepage
In the top left corner, you will see the logo of the Virtual Writing Tutor and in the top right corner, you will see the icons that represent all the different sharing possibilities. Under these two, you will see that there is a navigation menu which lead to different parts and tools on the website. The most used features of this website are the grammar checker that appears on the homepage, the writing tools and the Login button, that you can find in the navigation menu. It's a great idea to log into the site because it will save what you have done on the site for later.
Now here is where it gets interesting in regard of checking grammar. When you arrive at the homepage, you will see a text area in the middle of the page with different options on top of it. These options are the different parts of the grammar checker. You can check the word count on your text by clicking the ''Word count'' button, check grammar with the ''Check Grammar'' button and so on with Target Structures, Punctuation, Essays, Writing, Vocabulary, and many more. You just have to type in your text or copy and paste it into the text area in the middle of the page and use one of the options above. You can also hear your text by clicking on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the text area.
So, this website is very complete and features great tools to help avoid mistakes and make proofreading a text time efficient. Whether you do it because you are in Paralegal Technology or in any other field where it is crucial to write perfectly and without any spelling errors.
