Hello! My name is Maxandre Hubert, I am currently studying Social Science with Mathematics at the cegep of Saint-Hyacinthe. I have been studying for 2 years. For those of you who don't know about Social Science with Mathematics, this program involves courses in economics, law, in mathematics, and we have our basic courses. I want to work in finance as a portfolio manager.
We all want to find out the financial data to make good investments when we work in finance. Am I right?
I'm not an expert, but I have done a lot of research recently on the subject.
I am a financial adviser at a bank.
I aim to illustrate the process of identifying lucrative investment opportunities.
Stays right there. Don’t move a muscle.
It is astonishing what you can do with the website I’m going to show you.
One specific problem that someone working in finance might face is the need for up-to-date financial information and market news to make informed investment decisions.
If you can't find the financial data. You cannot invest smartly.
For example, suppose your client wants to invest for his retirement. How will you find the information needed to complete an intelligent investment for him?
That can be difficult. But don’t worry. I have found the solution. In the next few minutes, I’ll show you exactly how to solve this problem.
First, open your browser. Type this URL: https://finance.yahoo.com/ into the address bar and hit enter. If you typed the URL correctly, you will see this page.
On the homepage, you can see multiple articles and stories. Use the tabs at the top of the menu to navigate on the site. Tabs as Home, news, Markets, and Watchlists.
You can search for a specific stock or company by using the search bar in the top left corner of the page. This will take you to detailed information on the company’s financial performance, news articles related to the company, and charts and graphs.
You can click on the watchlist tab to have access to a page where you can create and manage a list of stocks that you’re interested in following.
The market tabs provide an overview of current market conditions, including major indices and top gainers and losers.
And, at the bottom of the page, you have access to multiple links to educational resources and tools to track your portfolio and research investment opportunities.
Now, here is where you can find the solution to the specific problem I mentioned before. Click on the search bar and search for a specific stock.
Once you find the stock that you're interested in, click on the "Follow" button. After clicking on the "Follow" button, the website will prompt you to create an account to continue.
So, create an account, and with the account created click on the "Follow" button again. After that, click on the "Following" button to add the stock to your portfolio.
Then, go to the tabs bar and click on the "My Portfolio" tab. You now have access to your portfolio, and there you can follow on a daily basis what is going on with your stock. By scrolling down, you have access to all the latest information about the stocks in your portfolio.
Now with all the information, it will be easier for you to follow your investments and analyze your future investments in order to advise your clients and manage their money properly.
I promised I would show you how to find up-to-date financial information and market news to make informed investment decisions, and I did it using the website Yahoo Finance.
Before I finish, I want you to subscribe and to click on the bell so that you don't miss my next video, and then take a moment to share this tutorial on social media. Thanks for watching.
