Hi, my name is Alexia and I want to become an artist. I'm studying in visual arts in Cegep de Saint-Hyacinthe. I love arts since I was young, and I do some since a while ago.

There are moments when I am inspired to create a lot of projects and other times, I have to work my brains out to find a single idea. As I know myself, this will not change so soon. To keep me informed of the latest artistic tendencies or to inspire me with an artist, I will use the Art 21 website.

My goal is to show you why I will use this website, explain why I need this site, show you how to use this website.

Imagine me, as an artist, not knowing what I will do for my work of art. Imagine the city of Montreal offer to me a big amount of money to make a big sculpture in the downtown. I can't refuse because it gives an important mention in the world of art, but I don't even know what I will do

I can't do the project because I don't have idea

I need to find an idea to create a big project, and I won't be paid for my work. I can't live without the money because art is my job

I will take my computer and go on the ART21 website. This website gives a lot of information on the artistic world.

Go to the website, use a computer and go on the search engine you will use. Example you take Google Chrome. In the URL space, tap art21.org and the website will open automatically.

Art21 is a good place to find some information about art because there are many contemporary American artist. On this website there are many icons to easily use. In the top left corner of the screen, there is the logo. At the top of screen in the middle, there are icons like watch some news about art, the future expositions, read others news on the art, explore some ideas to do some art project. In this icon, there is a list of new and old artist of the world of art. Also, at the top of the screen in the middle, there is an option to search something particular on the site. In the top right corner, there are some icons to discover about the website, learn the daily new of the site. There are also an icon for learn about their educational program, their screening society, the watch live to watch the blog and interview of artist in live, the icon to buy some artistic items and the last one, for gives some money to the enterprise.

Once on this page, click on the section Explore, located at top of the screen in the middle. A yellow page with a theme will appear. Example: I want to do a sculpture on a theme of nature. I click on the keyword that makes sense for my research. I need to scroll for what the website propose to me. There are many names of artist in the middle of the screen. While scrolling, there are some videos and texts, all about my subject: the nature. I can click on a name who I think will be the best to help my research of inspiration. Example: I click on a name. His page with his biography will appear, and I will have a lot of information about his artistic practice. There are texts, videos about how he create, exactly what I need
