Hi, my name is Florence, and I am in a Springboard to a DSC in the Cégep Ahuntsic. I am waiting since August to enter in Pre-Hospital Emergency Care. This program was only offer in the autumn and last year, I failed the physics tests to enter this program that is why I am here now, waiting to try it again. Pre-Hospital Emergency Care is a technique of three years that will make students become paramedics. They have anatomy course, field of intervention, ethics and profession and a lot more. I want to be a paramedic after I finish the technique. A paramedic is basically someone who takes people who are hurt in an ambulance to keep them alive and take them to the hospital quickly.
Nobody wants to have embarrassing errors in their writing. I certainly don’t. If you are like me, you want them gone.
I'm not the best student in my class, but I’m a lot better than I was when I started.
Last week, I redid the physics test to enter the program of Pre-Hospital Emergency Care and I made it!
Today, I’m going to show you how to use an online grammar checker.
I want you to listen carefully and take note.
You can do a lot of things with this website that's why you have to listen to what I'm going to show you.
When I’m going to be a paramedic, I must write a report of the patient, and it may be a challenge because it could be a lot of complicated words related to the state of the patient that I must write down.
I must write the report correctly to help my colleagues and to not lose credibility.
Imagine that you write a report, and you write some words the wrong way, your colleagues will not understand what you are talking about, and it could be a problem when this report is going to be given to the doctor of the hospital.
I'm going to show you how to solve this problem with the Virtual Writing Tutor so that will not happen.
First, I'm going to add a new tab, and I'm going to click on the address bar and tap the URL witch is virtualwritingtutor.com
In the top left of the screen there is the logo.
Under the logo there is the navigation menu if you want to learn more about the website.
At the top right of the screen there are some icons if you want to share the website on socials media.
Under the navigation menu, there is the instruction of how to use the website.
In the middle of the screen, there is the text area, where you write the text that you want to be checked by the website.
Under the text area at the right, there is a microphone and a speech button. They can be useful when you want to check the pronunciation of a word and how to spell it.
For my field of study, the most important tool is the spelling checker.
You can write a sentence that you want to put on the paramedic report for example,
the patient had internal HEMORAGE following a serious injury. (hemorrhage)
As you can see, there is a spelling mistake in my sentence.
If you click on the grammar checker, it will show you how many words did you have, the number of paragraphs you have, how many mistakes did you have, and it will calculate the error density.
For my case, it says that I have a spelling mistake which is true. It’s going to propose me the good way to write my word.
This is how this website works I hope it will help you.
I hope you will use it, thanks for watching.
