Welcome everyone! My name is Emilie. I have been studying Police Technology for 1 year now and recently started my second year. For those who don't know about this program I will give you a quick explanation. We have about 6 to 7 courses which teach us about the law, when to arrest someone and also how to write good incident reports.
Incident reports are very important and useful to police officers. Everyone has access to these documents which means they need to be clear and professional. We all want to be professional and be a person who others can rely on.
I am a student, so it is normal for me to have a lot to learn and this includes learning how to writing a good text with no mistakes. I am motived to improve and write good texts, but I need help sometimes.
I always have good grades and want to continue doing good in school which is the reason why I use all the possible tools to help me.
My goal here is to demonstrate how to use this site and find out how to correct a text and submit any type of text with no grammar errors.
Don't worry, watching this demonstration won't take long and will get you on the right track for an error free text. Now, be ready to follow the steps and commit to watching until the end, so you can fully understand how this site works.

As police officers we do a lot of incident reports like I said and these need to be on point because they are very important.
If these are not well-written, it could cause a person do be acquitted or might cause struggles to the detectives or investigators when they need help.
For example, some of these reports can be used by a judge in court. So, imagine if the incident reports are full of mistakes! You will seem like a bad officer and many other bad flaws will be associated to you.
Writing a text with no mistakes can be very difficult, so I will demonstrate a solution on how to write with no mistakes.
First step, open a new browser and write the Virtual Writing Tutor URL into the address bar here and press enter button. If that is done correctly, you should see this page.
In the top left corner of the site you will see the logo, under here, you have the navigation menu, with all the possible tools you could use. In the middle, you will have the text area where you will write your text. In the top right corner you have other icons. If you click here on writing tools you will have all the possible tools you could use in the futur if you need any help but these won't be the ones we will be using today.
So, to solve our problem, we will start with this box here. So, first write your text in this box. Today I will be writing this here; Today we went to a woman's house to arrest her for domestic violence. Once that is done, click "check grammar" here and wait till you see feedback at the bottom of the screen. So, this is where you will see any grammar mistakes and how to correct them. If any grammar mistakes occur, simply correct them and click "check grammar" again. So, here I made a mistake, I wrote, "domestic violence" with "que" instead of simply writing a "c" and I also didn't use capitalization in the beginning of my sentence. So, here it will show me my mistake in red and also indicate the error type and what it suggests. So, all I need to do now is go correct my errors and I need to click "check grammar" again and here you go!
