Hi, my name is Amine Aamidi, I am 17 years old, and I have been studying Natural sciences, more specifically Engineering. This program is all about building clients’ projects, and We need to be super professionals with all our building reports because it is one of the most important ways of communication.
Making sure that there is no error in our building report can be hard sometimes, especially when we use words that are not super familiar to us. Writing emails for our superiors also requires us to be a professional and not make errors, such as grammar or spelling mistakes.
My goal with the screencast I am currently making is to help you avoid mistakes that are made without you giving attention to them.
It won’t last long, so pay attention to what I am about to present to you, it will definitely be useful in your future.
Consider the following scenario: you're at work, minding your own business and typing up some building report for a client, when your supervisor walks in. He requests you to send an email to a company informing them that their contract with them is about to expire since they have not paid for the services you provided.
You hesitate a little at first, afraid of not delivering an email that is as good as your supervisor expects. You're afraid of making numerous errors in your email, which will make it appear unprofessional. You accept your boss's suggestion after some consideration.
Before sending your email to the company, you must find a means to repair it.
To solve this problem and every problem that is related to grammar or spelling mistakes, there is a website called Virtual Writing Tutor. First, you need to open your web browser at the bottom of your screen, it is usually in the bottom left corner of your screen. Now, type in the address bar or in the search bar at the top the following URL: VirtualWritingTutor.com and press enter. This link will lead you to the website. To make sure that you are on a good website, you should see in the top left corner of your screen the logo of the website.
You can see the navigation menu directly beneath it, which shows you what you can do on the website. You have the option of sharing your text. Check the upper right corner for icons representing all of the platforms where you can share your text by making links. To write your text, simply type it into the input box in the centre of the screen. We can see some instructions in the text section, telling us to type, speak, or copy-paste our text. Some icons, such as the microphone, are located in the bottom right corner of the text field to assist us with our pronunciation. These three buttons are located just above the text area (word count, check grammar and clear, etc). These buttons will assist you in making text corrections. The setting menu is located directly beneath the logout button. When you've finished your writing, click the microphone button beneath the text field to have the website read it to you. The logout button is directly next to the drop down menu. It has an accordion and can be collapsed.
Let's say you want to create sentences with mistakes in the text field in the centre of the screen. The words with blue or red underlining are those that contain a mistake. To repair the words that have a mistake, simply right-click on the word in question, and all the chevalier options will show. Then just repeat the process with all of the words that are underlined in these two colours.
That’s all about my screencast. Just to remind you, my goal was to help you guys find a way to correct your texts to make you seem as professional as possible. Since I discovered this website, I have always used it when I type texts.
Now that you know all the tools to correct your mistakes, let's see what you have learned from my screencast.
Thank you for watching this video and don’t hesitate to go take a look at my blog.
