How Virtual Writing Tutor can help you in Medical Records Management program?

Introduction

Hello everyone,
My name is Léa-Janne Urbain, and I am a student of the springboard to a DCS program at Ahuntsic College of Montreal since the last two semesters. Next year, I would like to integrate the Medical Records Management program. This program will allow me to become a medical archivist and work in hospitals. I will have to follow the basic courses as well as coding and medical courses to succeed and become a great archivist. During the third year of this program, I will have to do an internship in a hospital to prepare myself for the real job.

As you probably know, it's really easy to make mistakes in the pronunciation of some words or in the writing of a sentence when it comes to English, and it's not your mother's thong.

In my case, I know that I sometimes mispronounce words and do some errors in my writing, but I am motivated to improve because when you are a medical archivist, it’s important to master French and English.

Last semester, I passed my English courses with a grade above 90%.

I’m going to show you how you could also end up with pretty good grades in English by avoiding a lot of errors with the virtual writing tutor website.

Get ready to listen to me for the next 3 to 5 minutes and feel free to give me some comment about my screencasts after listening to it.

I’m sure you will be surprised by how easy it is to not make mistakes anymore!

The Problem

When medical recorders write in a patient's file or communicate with him orally or in writing, it is very important that they dont make any mistakes.

Because if a mistake is made, it could create confusion between doctors and patients, and it could be very dangerous if false information are given to the patient or if the wrong information are written in his files.

For example, imagine that you are talking with a patient and because of your pronunciation mistakes they understand that they must take a medication that they don’t actually need or that they are unable to fully understand their illness. It could be dangerous for them and they might be unable to get the help they need.

To avoid those kind of errors, I know exactly what you need to do.

The Quest

First, open your browser. Type virtual writing tutor.com in the URL at the top of the screen in the middle and hit enter. If you typed the URL correctly you will see this page.

You can see that in the top left corner of the screen there is the logo, in the middle of the screen there’s the navigation menu, just below the navigation menu you have the text area and in the top right corner of the screen there’s the icon in you would like to share the website on any social media.

The Solution

To avoid the problem that medical recorders can be confronted to that I talked about earlier, you only have to type in the text area in the middle of the screen the sentence that you would like to write or say to the patient. For exemple : I can confirm that you suffering from deep vein thrombosis. Now by clicking on the check grammar button, the website will tell you if you made any mistakes and how to correct them. For example, here I know that I have to add are in front of the you. You can also check how to pronounce difficult words like thrombosis by clicking on the microphone in the bottom right corner of the screen.

The Conclusion

So if you are in a medical related field of study and that sometimes you struggle with pronunciation and writing mistakes, that’s how you could solve your problems !

I hope this screencasts was helpful for you! Don’t be shy to like and share my videos with your friends. Thanks for watching
