How to efficiently study for a finance test!

Introduction

Hello and welcome YouTube! I am making a video explaining you guys how to study efficiently for a Finance test. I will use my Finance class as an example, but you can really use it for any field of study. For the new comers, my name is Louis Grégoire and I make online content about the wonderful and fascinating world of finance. I currently study Business Management in cegep. This program focuses on the world of business. Meaning I have classes about marketing, finance, economics etc. It is meant for people who later want to go in any business related field of work.

Most of us that go to school essentially have a similar goal. That goal is of course, to succeed.

Even though we all want to get good grades at school, it happens to every one of us, once in a while, to get bad grades or perform less than others in certain classes.

While some of us don't mind underperforming, I personally take school seriously. I have never failed a class and even succeeded in some classes to be among the best performers.

In this video, I will walk you trough my way of studying for my exams, that way you can start studying in an efficient manner.

All I need you to do is to simply get comfortable, grab a snack and take some notes.

If you make it to the end of this video, I guarantee you will have learnt something new, and something that will make you successful in your studies.

The Problem

During the semester, staying organized is a game changer.

Sometimes, staying organized is not easy, especially if you mostly use paper like me.

Imagine that you make yourself a study list for a class where you put the important points that will be evaluated in that exam. Once that list is finished, and you compare it to your friend's study lists, adding stuff to it can be very tricky and messy.

All of these problems will be part of the past since I found a solution for you!

The Quest

To begin, open your browser and type the URL virtualwritingtutor.com into the address bar and press enter. You will then be directed to the home page of the Virtual Writing Tutor website.

If you take a look at the navigation menu of the website situated at the top of the page, you will be able to see 13 categories. The tools I find are the most useful to me are the grammar checker and the glossary creator. The one we will be focusing on today is situated in the writing tool category. It is the glossary creator.

The Solution

First, you need to select writing tools in the navigation menu and select the glossary creator with your mouse. Then, you need to create a new glossary and with your keyboard, enter the title of the glossary you want to create. The next step is to right click create, and you will be greeted to a page where you can enter terms and concepts with their descriptions and explanations. Then, enter the category or your glossary's topic, with an introduction where you can resume what will be in the exam. After that, you can enter the first term of your glossary, the part of speech and the pronunciation. For the most important part, you now need to enter the definition of your term. Next is the translation section. It is very useful, especially in the business work field since you often need to know the terms both in French and in English. You can then enter an example of your term in the section dedicated and finally add an image to represent the term. The last step is to simply press the icon "+ term" and move on to the next one. The best part of this tool is that you can always go back and adjust what you previously wrote. Once you are done, you can right click on the button publish and here goes the perfect studying tool.

The Conclusion

To conclude this video, if you are in business management like me or even in any field of study, this is how to study efficiently for an exam.

I would like to thank every single one of you for staying until the end. If you found this video useful, I kindly invite you to leave a like and subscribe to my YouTube channel since it takes literally two seconds of your time and helps me out tremendously! See you in the next video!
