Tutorial glossary creator

The Quest

The website is Virtual Writing Tutor. First thing first, you will want to go on any internet browser and just search for virtual writing tutor on Google.

Now, you want to make sure to register yourself in the top right corner, you should have a Login option. Today, I’m already connected.
So, you have all the tools you could need to write a text in the middle of the screen. You can check grammar, check punctuation, check writing, etc. You have also this tool bar with a variety of options to use and discover. The most useful to me would be the writing tools.

The Solution

So what I want to focus on today is the glossary creator. So, drag your pointer to the writing tool and you should see the glossary creator. I find this tool the most useful because you can create the perfect glossary for yourself to learn and practice difficult words related to your field of study. Now, when you click on the glossary creator, you have a video tutorial that you can watch. You can click here to see some examples of other glossaries. Now over here you can create a new glossary. So, I just created one, it's an accounting glossary. I just wrote the title and clicked on new glossary. So, you can choose your topic, you can write an introduction and you can start the glossary. For example, I want to learn the word assets. You can check the grammar every time you write something. Now you can identify the part of speech. Now obviously, you can use Google and just, you know, copy what you find. So, it's a noun. I will use this for later. So you write noun. You can learn the pronunciation of the word by clicking here and it will show you a file saying assets. Now, you probably can't hear it right now. You can add the definition that we found on Google. You can add a translation. So, on Google it says that in French it's "actif". So you go here, French, "actif". Save. You can find an example in a sentence. For example, "Quick reflexes were his chief asset.". You will want to copy. Go here. Make sure to put a dot at the end. Save. And you can find an image. Now, you can upload any image URL or you can find some free images on wikimedia. Now, I want to find it on Google. So, look for an "assets" image. Let's say, this one! Now you can open the image. You want to copy the link of the image. Save. Now you should see the image on the right. So, I've created the first term of my glossary, the word assets. You can create as many terms as you want and do the same for every and each one of them. Now, when you are done, you can publish it. Now it's published. Now you can see it on a new tab. So, this is what it looks like.
