The virtual writing tutor can be helpful in your everyday life. I have been studying Social Science for one and a half years at the Ahuntsic College, and I aim to become a lawyer. Social Science is a program who offers a pre-university base for students from many perspective aspects of human society and behaviour. This semester is my last in this program and next fall I will be start my journey in the legal field to become a lawyer.
In this field, writing will be a big part of my daily life and so will grammar errors. I will have to write contracts, letters, emails and many more, so this is the reason why I am doing this screencast, to help you get used to the virtual writing tutor so that you can improve your writing skills in English and reduce the grammar mistakes at the same time.
So, when I am working, I will be writing a lot of emails to either clients or my supervisor and I really don’t want to make grammar mistakes in order to not destroy my credibility in front of them. And if you want a quick way to have a 100% error free, stay tune for the next 3 minutes.
First, you will have to open a new tab at the top of your screen in the middle. Then, write the URL of the virtual writing tutor site in the address bar, and you will see this page.
In the top right corner, you can find the options to share the virtual writing creator as a link. In the top left corner, you can see the logo. Under the logo, there is a navigation menu that will be used to browse efficiently on the website. Then, you will find the text area in the center of the page where you can copy your text and in the bottom right corner of the text area there are some icons to help you write your text.
For example, I will type in the text area that the case will go to the Supreme Court, and may be docketed for the fall term.
Next, I will click on the button Check Grammar at the right of the Word Count button and if you scroll down the scroll bar, you will find explanation to the errors you made in your text. It will tell me how many words I made, the number of paragraphs, the number of errors I made, the density of errors in the text and some feedback.
So, that’s how the Virtual Writing Tutor works, and I only showed the options that are relevant to my field of study and my possible difficulties, but there are a lot of options on this website.
