Hi, my name is Maude Gauthier and I’m a student at Ahuntsic College in Police Technology. I’ve been studying in this program for a year and a half, and I’m currently at the end of my 3rd semester.This program will help future police officer to learn the ropes of this job. By doing simulation and intervention the students will be able to learn from their mistakes. The courses in this program are very field of study related such as Law classes, police intervention classes, physical conditioning classes, communication classes and more. After my 3 years in the program and my 15 weeks at the Quebec national police academy, I hope to become a police officer and eventually a k-9 officer

Even though I’m still studying to become a police officer, I know that to be a successful one you have to make little to no mistake when it comes to writing. After an intervention a police officer could have to write an email to a colleague or a Sergeant which is a police officer who supervises an entire watch shift in smaller departments and areas. This email could be seen by multiple people so to make a good impression this email will need to be error free, if you would like to improve your English skills the website I’m about to show you will definitely come in handy.

Start by adding a new tab at the top of the screen. In the address bar type out the URL which is https://virtualwritingtutor.com/. When you first come in contact with the website, you’ll see the Virtual writing tutor logo in the top left corner of the screen and under there’s the navigation menu, if somehow, you’d like to know more about the other multiple functions this website can offer you can scroll down with the scroll bar and learn more about fer example, the essay checker, word counter and the spell checker. Scroll back up with the scroll bar and meet me at the text area in the middle of the screen. In the bottom right corner of the text area, you can see the microphone and the audio button. The microphone can help you test your pronunciation and the audio button can help you learn the correct way to pronounce a word or a phrase

For my field of study, the tool I use the most is the grammar checker. In the middle of the screen in the text area, we can write the sentence that we would like to examine for possible mistakes. When you click on the check grammar button at the top of the text area, you should be able to see your feedback. Underlined in red is our error, as you can see where my cursor is we have multiple suggestions as to what the error can be replaced with. As you can see the virtual writing tutor does not seem to recognize patroller as a word, A patroller is usually a police officer who helps fight against criminality, he drives in a car and responds to 911 calls. We can then go replace the word with a synonym such as officer. The other error was the word radar, a radar is an instrument used to measure the speed of vehicles traveling on public roads. Once again, underlined in red is our error, as you can see where my cursor is we have multiple suggestions as to what the error can be replaced with. In this case radar only needs one.
