Hi everyone, I'm Adriane and today I'm going to show you how you can create a Glossary for your field of study using virtualwritingtutor.com.
I've been studying acupuncture for a year. Acupuncture is a technique in Chinese medicine that uses the needle to stimulate the body to heal itself. This technique is the only official biological technology that works through energy to heal the body in Quebec.

So, I made this screencast to help students and professionals create their own glossary and help spread information about the program or field of study.

Because the vocabulary is not common for most of the people. As the name of the meridians, the instruments used in Acupuncture such as the Gua sha, 7-star needle and other specific terms in the field that are different from Western medicine.

First you have to login, In the top right corner of the screen. In the navigation bar, in the middle of the screen, click Writing tools,
select Glossary creator. On the right-hand side of the screen, write a title for your new Glossary in the text area and click new glossary.

Now, you have a title, then, you write a topic or field of study and save. You write an introduction here explaining what this glossary is for and why you made it. Enter the term you want to define and save. Identify the part of speech and save. For know a good pronunciation, you Add an audio file, click on the speaker, you can hear it and save. You can add a Definition ou click go, in the middle of the screen, for a definition on google, you copy a definition, you return to the editor, paste and save.
You can Add a translation, you can choose the language, you click Go, copy, paste and save.You can Add a sentence demonstrating how to use the word. Click Go, the lex tutor will open. Click on the keyword in the middle of the screen, you select the example, copy, return to the editor paste, click Sentence case and save. You can add a picture, you can get a free picture from Wikimedia, you choose a picture, you click in more details, you click in use this file in the web, select the file URL, copy, return to the editor, paste, write a description and save.

When you finish your Glossary,
A preview appears on the right side of the screen with all items filled.
With this Glossary you can create a Quiz. The items are on the left and the definitions are on the right and you choose the correct definitions for the item and check. You can also publish a card game. You can also publish a glossary. At the bottom of the page, I have a link to my card game. The vocabulary matching exercise and the virtual writing tutor.
I can also export my glossary as an iFrame and incorporate in a blogger post or on a Moodle or the other web page and I can export it as an HTML. You can see examples on the examples page.
