How can I learn vocabulary fast?

Introduction

Welcome everyone!
My name is Sabrina. I am a College Ahuntsic student in the Social Science program profile administration. I am in fact really excited about it and I want to present you what it is all about in this video. This program is mainly focused on the management of commerce, the business world and the functioning of organizations. It presents a lot of concepts as marketing, production, finance, accounting, human resources, business and many other more. This pre-university formation leads the students to a multitude type of career oriented on business administration, marketing, management, etc.

As students, we all know how important it is for our future to always get the best grades possible. We all want to give our full academic potential to get the best opportunities and the career we always dreamed of. But unfortunately, it is not that easy, and we meet difficulties and obstacles all the time.

It is only my first semester in this program, I studied in health science for the past two years, so I have been working with scientific terms for a good part of my life and everything about this program is really new to me.

The Problem

Despite all my excitement and my motivation with this new program, I feel a little bit overwhelmed and stressed about all the new terms that comes with it that I don't know about. During the semester, we need to be able to understand and apply the vocabulary really quickly to keep up the courses.

If my teacher gives me a certain type of context during an exam and I don't understand some of the vocabulary, I will automatically not be able to answer the question and this can be a huge problem.

But fortunately, I have found a good solution for this problem. In this video, I'll show you how to learn your vocabulary faster and be able to refer to them every time that you will need to.

The Quest

First, open your browser and go to VirtualWritingTutor.com.

The Solution

Then, on the navigation menu, click on “Writing Tools”. It is an accordion button that will present you a list of other links. Now click on “Glossary Creator” and you will now have this page on your computer. You can now type a title for your glossary in the text area and then click on the link “New Glossary”. You can now type the word that you want to define by clicking on the blue icon with the pencil and a text area will appear on your page. Type the term that you need for your field of study and click save. Repeat this same action for entering the part of speech, the definition of the word and the translation. Now if you want to add an audio file for the pronunciation of the word, you need to click on the blue icon with the blue pencil and then “Save”. For a good quality glossary that would help more with your comprehension, you can also add a picture that represents the term in question. For that, you will need to click on the blue icon next to “Image”. Then, click on “Go”, and this is what you will see on your page. This is a list of images that you can use for your glossary and you can now add the URL and click on “Save”. Repeat all of these actions for each term of your field of study!
