A website for paramedics or students in Pre-hospital Emergency Care

Introduction

Good morning, good afternoon and good night to anyone who's listening to this screencast. If you don't already know, my name is Rosalie, and I am a student in Pre-hospital Emergency Care.

The career of a paramedic consists in a lot of different natures of intervention. For example, in my future career, my colleagues and I will have to master pharmacology, pathophysiology, psychopathology, traumatology, respiratory therapy, and more! It is easy to get lost in al these techniques that ends with ''Y'', don't you think?

I am struggling a lot with finding motivation to do my assignments, but no matter what, I will succeed my studies in three years.

I haven't failed any class since the beginning of my studies in ''CEGEP''.

We all know that we cannot afford to make a mistake because someone's life is in our hands.

Keep on watching, and it'll help you be the best paramedic you can ever become.

You'll be overwhelmed by the amount of information this website can bring you.

The Problem

Let me show you the problematic here. As I said earlier, when you're someone who's working in Pre-hospital Emergency Care, you need to master a lot of fields to best help your patients because you never know what you'll be called on. It is not only to know all these things but also to know how to use your knowledge.

If you know your protocols and your techniques very well, but you don't have the dexterity to use them, you can lose your job, or even more serious, you can have an impact on someone's life.

Let's say it is your last semester and in a few weeks, you'll have to go in an internship but you totally forgot how to proceed in your manoeuvres in some types of intervention, but you need to be very efficient when the time comes. Plus, in all cases, time and dexterity are two important factors that affects directly the outcome of the intervention.

It can be hard to have the skills to make the techniques efficient but, bare with me, I'm going to show you a fun way to do so.

The Quest

You can find the website by typing ''Collège Ahuntsic'' in the address bar at the top of the screen in the middle. Then, click on the magnifier in the top right corner, and type ''Trousse SPU''. It should be the first result.

Now that you've entered the website, you can see that there are different types of content. For example, over here you have pharmacology. It includes the six medications we can administrate, and how to do so by following the protocols and the criterias. It is just one little part of all the content that's in here.

The Solution

Now, you are studying to become a paramedic and you want to know your protocols very well before going in your first internship on the road. You are an excellent student, and you know your inclusions by heart but, when it comes to doing it, you're a real mess in ventilation. Then, you need to go on ''Trousse SPU'' and scroll down a bit. The ventilation portion should be the second rectangle of the third vertical row. Then, you can look up whatever you lack in.

The Conclusion

So, if you're studying in Pre-hospital Emergency Care and you want to become the best paramedic you can, go on this practical website and look up whatever you need help with.

Thank you so much for listening and don't forget to share the website with your friends!
